Thanks for the kind comments everyone. The specs, if anyone cares

- 17 inch plywood hollow body

- laminated spruce top, laminated maple back and sides

- mahogany neck (in retrospect I should have used maple)

- rosewood fretboard, headstock and back strap, pick guard, p/u rings....

- maple binding, rosewood purfling

- Seymour Duncan Benedetto neck p/u, SD PAF bridge

- long 25.5 inch scale, 12 inch f/b radius, SS frets

- nitrocellulose lacquer

Now I need to practice my Freddie Green chords

Lovely work!

Why do you reckon you should have gone for a maple neck instead?

Appearance - I had the mahogany in my wood bin and this whole guitar was pretty much built out of stuff that I had on hand, but the first go around with the color was totally wrong. I ended up stripping it back to white and doing the stain differently - originally I thought it would be a lot lighter but I ended up with a hint of brown in the body stain and some amber in the neck. I guess my little blond is showing her dark roots.
