Mid 60s Vox Student amp (USA made, tube)

My uncle paid $6.00 for it at an auction in West Virginia and gave it to me for free. Yes, six bucks for a vintage Vox

My other score of the year was my late 80s Yamaha RGX120D. Picked it up from a pawnshop for $35. Just a low end Yammie, but it plays pretty nicely. I swapped the microphonic bridge pup for a DiMarzio Fred I had been given, and now it actually is one of my favorites.

Oh yeah... Vintage Clubber's Texas Special guitar reminded me that I bought an Ibanez GAX70 or GAX75 for $50 with a super nice gig bag. It was hideous when I got it, but I refinished it with Tru Oil. It also came with Dimarzio Bluesbuckers which are supposed to sound P-90-ish and sound kinda stratty when split.

My best is my brand new Orange Rockerverb 100 head, $1700.00 shipped!!! They go for $2,200 + tax, which would have brought me close to $2,400. So I basically saved $700.00. Thank You ebay :thu: The red strat pictured was also a decent buy, $350.00 shipped w/ nice Fender hardcase. Its an '87 MIJ that has taken over as my #1.

I'd have to think about it for a while...I had a lot of gear come and go this year. My most recent good deals have been...

Last saturday I found a somewhat dinged up black 1985 Peavey Patriot for $75. Plays and sounds great, but the body is a bit abused. All original and the Super Ferrite pickups are there and sound great.

Last friday night I sold my Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue (in tweed) with foot pedal and amp cover. It was a 2006 and in near mint condition. I got $450 for it. I paid $213.98 the weekend before.

Gorgeous!

The only instrument I bought this year was my Seagull Entourage Mini-Jumbo. They go for $350, but I got it for $250 back in March with a $50 Music 123 coupon and $50 off from Bill Me Later.

Other than tele parts and a wah, I hadn't bought any gear this year.

The forumite known as Gas King (Formerly known as JoshuaTSP) found and sent to me a pignose amp that he had found and bought for cheap :) I have been wanting another one for years (I had one in the late 70's early 80's)
