I come and go from here. Sometimes I get bored. Sometimes I do it so I am not so consumed with making gear purchases. Sometimes I just don't have time to come here. I am all for family first, but why not just not log in? Or, like others have said, turn off avatars or not click on link you know have soft core pictures, like Sexy Christmas in the Amp forum or NGD threads.

I know this is too much information probably but what the hell, this is an anonymous forum. I've had a hard struggle with pornography and some of the avatars on HCEG and HCAF make me feel stuff inside me that I don't want to feel anymore because I want to be the best husband I can be to my wife and the best dad I can be to our kids. Thank you for the entertaining guitar talk, silly chit chat about inane things (which helps me laugh through tough times) and the killer trades to a Mesa Stiletto (Mikenothing) and Peavey Tracer (Ovid9). I too stopped coming here for awhile, then I found a program that could mast foul language. I'd already turned off the avatars and now that I don't see the foul language I feel better about visiting here. I also avoid the NGD threads, I've seen most of the guitars anyway, unless it's a custom.

Agree with the guy or not, why ridicule the guy for standing for something? You can say that porn addiction isn't serious, but I work with people every day that have been deeply affected in a negative way by porn. I've seen marriages ripped apart, jobs lost, and an uncle go to jail because his porn addiction went down the road of kiddie material. Whether or not you view some of the material around here as "porn" or not, it obviously is causing the OP some issues. Kinda like a recovering alcoholic catching a whiff of his favorite beer. If you can't respect someone for that, I doubt you would have much respect for anyone.

Agreed...however, what was disrespectful was the tone of your comments. I don't think the guy was running for the hills because he saw a girl smile in a photo. Some of the avatars and NGD pics here are at best...soft-core porn...barely covering the "essentials" if you know what I mean. For someone who is trying to break an addiction like that, these images could easily cause him issues. The nice thing about this forum is that you have the option to turn off both photos and the avatars. Not sure if he knew about that feature.
