All of the above have elements of truth, but my message to the OP would simply be, that if you find this place a threat to your morals, your personality, spirituality and your family you have a very very SERIOUS problem that won't be solved simply by deactivating your account here.

 

If you seriously fear for your spirit you may need to get yourself on some kind of program, and get some spiritual fitness going, avoidance is NEVER an answer.....if you're serious man, get help and get it before the day gets along much further

I agree that a lot of the avatars are inappropriate for this forum, but I would generally say mainly in terms of how easily young lads and lasses might get access to them, and then consider it perfectly OK to post that kind of material on a site that could be viewed by families. I feel for the OP, but I have to say, I think he is going to have a very hard time confronting sex and sexual images in general in the environment, if he is worried about the (relatively minor) stuff on here. Similarly, I think that rather than trying to battle or shut out sexual desires, it is much better to come to terms with them and at the very least, to be open and honest about it with your partner. If can't do that with your partner, then you might want to ask yourself whether you relationship is open and honest in other respects.

 

We are all mammals, driven by normal mammalian responses and instincts, which of course we need to control to live in society and to respect the boundaries of others, but you just can't suppress them entirely, whether you like it or not... and the suppressing could actually make the perceived problem much worse.

I know this is too much information probably but what the hell, this is an anonymous forum. I've had a hard struggle with pornography and some of the avatars on HCEG and HCAF make me feel stuff inside me that I don't want to feel anymore because I want to be the best husband I can be to my wife and the best dad I can be to our kids.

I presume he doesn't watch TV at all then, since you see the same level of dress on TV regularly. That was kind of my point. This place is tame compared to something on TV, which is NOTHING compared to what is readily available through a Google search for just about anything.. Seriously, go Google "bacon" and within the first two pages, you can find scantily clad wimminz, even with "Safesearch" turned on. The only way to avoid it is to go live in a cave with no internet access. Short of that, grow a pair and get over it.
