Sorry, if this guy is serious then I'm shocked - how is it that 1"x1.5" images on an internet guitar forum are making it so you can't come here anymore? Do you own a TV? Because there's just as graphic stuff on basic cable as there is on here. Do you walk past news stands? Because the cover of Maxim magazine is on par with with the raunchiest avitars on this site. Something here doesn't add up...

I'll be honest, I refrain from posting tits. It's not 4-chan here. I've had many female guitar players come check this place out only to find all of the valuable information buried in soft-porn.


Now, don't get me wrong, I love titties. They're among my favorite things, like bacon, whiskey, beer and cool gear.


But you don't see me posting pics of booze and bacon?


Let's just think about being more objective towards female guitarists. They're hot anyways.

 

I tend to agree. For every picture of a half naked chick on here I'd rather see a guitar. Plenty of other places to find half naked chicks :idk:

Why not half nekkid chicks playing geetar? Don't see many of them.

BTW OP, just cuz you have a kid/s and a wife doesn't mean your manhood will stop. You'll still look at nice lookin' babes walkin' down the street. Specially in summer when some of them are wearing less than most of the pics I've seen here. You can't shut off the world. If you do your wife won't get the kind of treatment that produced the kid/s in the first place. If/when that happens, you'll be back only you'll be single again.

1. I'd agree that this place isn't very female friendly

 

2. As others have said, there's an option to turn off the avatars.

 

3. If the pictures here lead to temptation you're gonna have a tough time on the rest of the Internets and walking by Victoria's Secret.

 

4. I never understood requests to deactivate an account. If it's that tough to stay away, wouldn't it be easy to reregister under a new name?

I know this is too much information probably but what the hell, this is an anonymous forum. I've had a hard struggle with pornography and some of the avatars on HCEG and HCAF make me feel stuff inside me that I don't want to feel anymore because I want to be the best husband I can be to my wife and the best dad I can be to our kids.


Thank you for the entertaining guitar talk, silly chit chat about inane things (which helps me laugh through tough times) and the killer trades to a Mesa Stiletto (Mikenothing) and Peavey Tracer (Ovid9).

- Announcing that you are deactivating? Why even deactivate, why not just not log on for 6 months and see how you feel then?

serious or not is not the point.

People have different susceptibilities and sensitivities.

Maybe he has addictive behaviour that they say can happen with many things, including pron.

 

 

If he feels better doing this - good for him.

As for stuff elsewhere, of course there is. That doesn't make it any less disturbing to people trying change their behaviour.

I expect he has a way to deal with that too if he is serious.

 

For example, I had a colleague who brought up his family in a tv free environment because he worried they would be desensitised to adult imagery and violence. It worked to the extent that watching a fist full of dollars would make the whole family nauseous. Extreme but true.
