I'm pretty wowed by the Dr. Scientist reverb. I've never really been a huge fan of "spring" reverbs, the {censored} in this thing sounds so good. vintage plate with a long decay. {censored}ing ballsin.

Yep. This pedal is beyond anything I could reasonably expect from pedal verb.

Biyang Tri-Reverb

Boss RV-3

Amp reverb.

Work excellent for what I need, though the Biyang is really noisy in some settings, so I usually stick to the boss and the ac30's verb. Also love the delay of the RV-3, very upfront and loud repeats, often discribed as "cold", just the way a real digital delay should sound:)

Used to have a EHX Holier grail for a while, couldn't get rid of it fast enough, totally hated it.

I don't have a verb pedal, sometimes I work some out of my SMMH, but usually my music is too fast for verb, it just gets lost, I really prefer delay. Though I have been considering reverb, just not sure what would sound good with distortion and high bpm's.

I do love surf so a springy type pedal is probably on the horizon.

Recently got a Chicklet that's got problems. I've wanted one of these for a while, but this one's acting weird. Kinda bums me out. I contacted Malekko to see if they would repair it, but haven't heard back yet. Maybe that's why they discontinued it?

Yeah, I'd like to try that one. Do you know if they've lifted thei NAMM email blackout over at Malekko. I've got a phase on the fritz and wanna get it fixed.

...owned the Tech 21 Boost R.V.B. great pedal with lots of reverbsounds... sold it and regret it.

That's my favourite reverb pedal - and the only dedicated reverb pedal I still have.

I also have amp reverb, an old (70s) amp-top tremolo and reverb effect unit and a Line 6 M5 (although I haven't used the reverb in it very much (yet)).

Until recently, I also had an EQD Ghost Echo (very good) and a Biyang Tri-Reverb (also very good).

I used to have a Dr Scientist Reverberator but didn't like it at all; the quality of the reverb was - in my opinion - on a par with a budget Zoom multi-effects (rack) unit I bought in the late 90s. It remains one of my biggest pedal disappointments.

I'd recommend going for one that has a tone control (which is usually a low-pass filter) - that will help place the reverb behind your distortion and damp the reverb tail so that it doesn't sound all washed out.

i still try to get another Boost R.V.B. - but mine was in great condition and the price just to cool - never saw a similar good deal again -.-

Spring Chicken- Pretty awesome if you are looking for a spring sound. Probably hard to find one.

Old-ish Yamaha R100 half rack reverb processor- About a billion possibilities, so I use it for weird stuff (gated, reverse, swells). Kind of a pain though, it is the only non-pedal effect that I use, so it's always interesting finding a way to set it up with everything else, and the switching is weird so I run it through a bypass looper.

Amp reverb- On at least a little bit almost all the time in my amps that have it.

Also working on getting a Digitech XP-400 because it looks cool.

I've also tried the Boost-RVB and regular Holy Grail... They were cool, but at the time I was looking for a dedicated spring reverb to use with my amps that don't have it, and the Spring Chicken won that contest.
