I was going to respond by posting your life in two pics..but I don't want to be arrested searching for kiddie porn
:o

There is a misunderstanding here. I fornicate to make kids, not with kids.

Although i can see why you might not be able to grasp that concept.

I second the boot to asses thing... My dad instilled the fear of God almighty in us growing up without ever being violent about it (I got spanked twice while I lived under my parent's roof- that was enough
). Was all about tone and your life was on lockdown if we were out of line.

However, I had a cousin that was the same way as your son.
Skipped school, dropped out, stole {censored} from the campus, all sorts of mess and his parents/my aunt and uncle were great.
Not sure how he even got his GED. Now of those 3 cousins, he's the most "normal" of he and his siblings and has the most stable job, house situation, etc.. Different strokes.

Can't wait to have kids.

Contrary to popular belief....this can happen to the best of parents. It's not always the parents fault. Older delinquents can destroy your kids.

This is absolute horse{censored}. Parents hold ALL the cards. You just have to be wise enough to know how to play them and be willing to do so.

You've obviously never had a kid that went all the way over the edge. If you grounded your kid and he jumped out the window every night what would you do? If you took him to school and dragged him into the school and then the second he was "unhanded" he took off out an exit, what would you do? The cops dragged my son home one day when he was truant and while I talked to the cop on the front porch my son was already going out the back window.

You really don't have a clue about how powerless a parent really is. You only have as much power as your KID chooses to give you

If your kid is acting like that, you {censored}ed up a long time ago.

In highschool he means. It's like 13-14 if memory serves.

:thu:

At 13-14 you may be immature but you know what you're doing, you're aware of consequences. The time for instilling discipline via beatings has passed, in my book.

At that age I was working in an electronics factory and besides making dough I got a good taste of what the unskilled labour path was like.

I was still a delinquent, but a self-disciplined delinquent, it was purely a lifestyle choice.

Yeah, like I said. You don't have a clue. You sound exactly like the idiots that run juvenile services. Took them 6 months of counciling sessions to quit blaming us and finally realize & admit that it wasn't our fault....that it was him, not us.

THIS!! Most people always want to blame the parents, but it can end up boiling down to this when your kid gets to around 14 or so. My son decided that he wanted to be a "gangsta".
