Members PancakeBunny
I've never seen a sparkle finished guitar that I would want to own. It's a total turn off to have a guitar that literally looks like it's been dipped in glue and rolled around in glitter.

Members PanaDP
Anything sparkly, anything fake-relic, silverbursts, 3-tone sunbursts on strats, and the outlandishly vivid cherry burst finishes on LPs.

Members docjeffrey
Green. I'm talking real, honest to goodness green, not surf green or cadillac green (those are cool) Just plain old green. If they have quilt or curl finishes, it makes it even worse. or this:
Members docjeffrey
Clown bursts are cool! They are just out of style at the moment because Gibson has been pushing all of their drab, faded, {censored} bursts down our throats for the last 15 years. Members Maleficio
Is this cheesy? It's borderline. The grain flow counters the schmaltz.

Members soundcreation
Overly Quilt or Flame veneer a al Suhr or Anderson and clown burst. Just don't like them. Sea foam blue strats...better than the above but I don't get the freak people sometimes have for them. Generally Blue or Green guitars don't work for me either. Members 211dave112
used to hate sunburst but it's growing on me on some guitars. and i used to really dislike red guitars but recently got a red mustang bass and i'm loving the red now. deoends so much on wha suits the individual guitar. I'm nnot a fan of guitars that look like they've been dipped in glass! they look {censored}e.
Members DaveAronow
Fastest way to ruin the looks of one of the most beautiful guitars ever made, is to take a Les Paul and paint a gold top on it. Heinous looking.
Members BG76
I'm sick of the flamed out or quilted finishes that are covered in 1/8th" of plastic. I remember when the Fender Fotoflames came out in 1993(ish) and I thought they were awesome. Now, every cheapo has tons of plastic inlay and a flamed out veneer. It's played out. Now when I see something the like that I think 'cheap'. It's like those fake gold chains the 15 year old rap wannabees walk around with.
Members nighthawk15
Anything sparkly, and fender's tobacco sunburst. The glitter make most guitars look like a toy and the tobacco bursts are just......boring IMO. Then again, I sort of like stuff that others consider overly flamboyant because I love bright colors. IMO a clown burst LP with a flame top is just pretty much full of win. Or better yet flame top with the blue burst that I've seen on a few. Members Dougie.Douglas
I always used to HATE the Goldtop Les Pauls... but since i'v been on HC, they seem to be growing on me I really like Goldtops with P-90s. A finish I can't stand though is the silverburst... Urgh
