Members Angry Tele
not much to "get" ...Some finishes might look stupid in a bedroom but awesome on stage or worse yet vice versa.

Members ten56gibby
Anything sparkly, anything fake-relic, silverbursts, 3-tone sunbursts on strats, and the outlandishly vivid cherry burst finishes on LPs. So... anything that's not a straight non-metallic color???
Members bsman
I have a secret fondness for goldtops, sparkly silver finishes (a la Gretsch), etc. but my essential modesty (I'm talking about style here - not necessarily ego) prevents me from indulging it. I sometimes fantasize about being like Chris Isaak -- wearing a mirrored jacket and playing a sparkly, silver guitar -- but I could probably never bring it off... Same reason I don't have a "V" -- I'm just not sure a 50-something year old can bring that off credibly.
Members mdintx
Green. I'm talking real, honest to goodness green, not surf green or cadillac green (those are cool) Just plain old green. I'm not a big fan of green either but then I saw this:

Members LaXu
2/3-tone sunbursts. The classic "black edges to brown to yellowish" thing you see especially on Strats. My first guitar was that color and I didn't like it then and I don't like it now. It amazes me why so many guitars are made in that color. Not fond of the silverburst either. Also the amount of totally black guitars. I've got one and it's the most boring finish ever. I think I should just cram it full of stickers or do EVH taping on it. Members Scobro
Camo. I mean really... Are you trying to hide behind some bushes on stage or something? Sometimes when I'm bow hunting i like to get a little practice in, learn a few new riffs.... you know, multitasking! :poke:

Members notcool
I have an ambivalent attitude toward sunburst. Some guitars look okay in sunburst (hollow, semi-hollow, Les Paul style) but I don't care for Fender style guitars in sunburst (Strat or Jazzmaster shaped bodies). Two colour sunbursts are okay, but I don't care for three colour sunbursts.
Members hshaitan
I like the silverbursts... but agreed on the glitter finish. Those things are fugly.
Members Jim_Soloway
Funny thread. I'm pretty sure ever finish and wood type has been listed in here somewhere. If someone tried to live by this, they'd end up playing air guitar.

Members twofoolsaminute
I just don't like guitars that are made of wood, metal, fiberglass, plastics, polycarbons or stone. I don't like sparkle, colored, graphic or plain wood finishes. And I really don't like clear guitars. The rest are pretty cool.
