Heinous looking. Funny how the first LPs were goldtops, huh?That being said, I don't like three-tone sunburst.The most played out guitar finish ever. Members bluesguyjon Posted February 7, 2010 Members Share Posted February 7, 2010 i don't like flame or quilt tops on any guitar (even LPs, shoot me now ), to me it looks like some photoshop-happy guy went too far with chrome filters or something. an accent music near me has a LP with a finish similar to the one below, but without any flame whatsoever, just the wood pattern, and there's no finish material on it, it feels like you're touching a 2x4. sexiest guitar i've ever seen. it's the only faded i've seen without any flame. The popular finishes that I can't stand: Daphne Blue & Fiesta Red. I know, I know, lots of people like them, but they look entirely girly to me.
