Members tkrotchko
here's one: more at http://pics.livejournal.com/suitandtieguy/gallery/00043fz7 I am in awe of the polymoog. I didn't think there were any working models anymore! Many years ago, there was a music shop PA (Jasper Colura?) that had one of these things forever; eventually kids messing around messed up the ribbon controller, and it just sat there underneath a bunch of other keyboards. I eventually bought a Farfisa Syntorchestra at Jasper's (a mistake) that I still have in the basement. I just sold the Chroma Polaris (membrane good, one bad oscillator), and I'm getting ready to donate an Ensoniq VFX and TS-12 to my sister's music department (she's a music teacher). I just purchased a Roland RD700GX, I love the thing. Very musical. My wife told me the other keyboards had to go, so they're going. Now I need to purchase small controller for some virtual instruments so I can have one keyboard for experimentation.
Members idiotboy
Just got one of these . I've had the HDP-15 for years. Fantastic, way under-rated drum controller. :thu:
Members drxcm
November marks the end of GAS for quite some time... I also picked up a 8U SKB Roto Rack - great build quality - will be getting some more at some stage. This thing sounds great, I never had a ROMpler before, and this one, well, its just beautiful. Members suitandtieguy
I am in awe of the polymoog. thanks, although it's now in Mexico with a producer down there. he _really_ wanted Vox Humana i guess. however, this weekend i ordered a new mixer. it should be here next week. it's a Roland M-480. i hope it sounds okay. my Mackie LM3204 is pretty much impossible to set gain properly on as there are no trims and it's not really -10 or +4 for some reason. Members Khazul
still listening/watching the vid - does this have any jap/east asian drum sounds?Yes - japanese, korean, chinese include some melodic sounds and loads of stuff Id never heard of before - I was primary after tablas, djembes, darabuka, congas and bongos for which its really good and very playable.Theres a full drum and kit list in the back of the manual - ftp://ftp.roland.co.uk/productsupport/Manuals/HPD-10_OM.pdf.If you get one, I would suggest getting the Roland pds-10 stand with it as well as its not quite a on-your-lap instrument and its a good solid stand.BTW - DV are running a V-Drum event next weekend I think up in Romford (yeh - bit of a hike...) - they said they would try get the HPD-10 on demo for the event - they dont have any on demo in their shops. I went a local drum and percession specialist (Drumwright) they had one out on demo very close to where I live.

BUT... i AM getting one of these in the mail any day now to keep me company until i do manage to get an 888... I'd be interested to hear some demos of that thing. It has always intrigued me but there are very few demos. I don't really know what to think of MFB. Good? Kind of cheap? Good for the price? Guest Anonymous
In response to a question in the DM XS thread I think I read somewhere else that the 5000 was buggy in several ways. Is the bugginess the sole reason for your return, or are there other reasons? Just curious.I really like the 4 efx buses with 2 efx each and the VA synth which is very handy to have on board but, the transfer and sequencer functions are broken. When transferring sequences from my 2500 that have tracks written with 16 levels on they don't play back in tune correctly. It could be because the 2500 saves as a .seq and the 5000 saves as a .mid file. With the 5000 sequencer not playing I can play one note/key repeatedly but, as soon as I try to play with the sequence playing notes start cutting out on different keys. I though it was a problem with my keyboard but, I have tried four different keyboards and still have the same problem.Add these problems with the list below and I think I will wait a few more OS revisions before repurchasing the 5000.http://www.mpc-forums.com/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=100159

Members The Real MC
I am in awe of the polymoog. I didn't think there were any working models anymore! I got a late serial Polymoog (the full synth version) that is still going. It's developed a couple of minor faults and I'm thinking of replacing all the IC sockets, the original ones are really crummy.I think they have one of the best interfaces for a synth, too bad they aren't as versatile as a proper polysynth. IE you can't do voice modulation or cross mod on a PM because of its TOS architecture. Also the single VCF for the entire synth really limits its palette. Members vwizz
At last a real one, got it in Pigalle Saturday afternoon...You should never go in Second Hand shops on Saturdays....Anyway: sounds awesome, put my Bi-Phase behind it, plugged it in my Deluxe Reverb, and sat my Little Phatty on top of it Real time travel 30 years ago! Members raffor
Congratulation!!! I always thought the OB-8 is a kind of boring instrument until I played with my friends one. That is a great board in a nice shape. I am still a sucker for my M12 though.
Members ChristianRock
Whoa! Nice! Don Solaris strikes again!I notice this didn't get the floor treatment, it went right to a keyboard stand!I'd love to have one.

Fantastic Put another gig of RAM there so your Dual Channel will actually work and give you 30ish% better performance. RAM is so cheap nowadays you really shouldn't get it in odd numbers. Really, my recommendation!
