  1. Seriously, {censored} those abortion issues. They're smokescreens to make you avoid actual discussion. Nothing's getting overturned and it's like an LSD-laced lollipop and the promise of a unicorn for the christian base who are falling for it every single time. If you want to stop the babykilling, better make sure that none of 'm are produced in the first place. We've seen what good abstinence programs did. Did someone say LSD-laced lollipop?
  2. What an ironic post. I wonder how many Obama voters know what he is really about. Or should I say understand what he is about. An ever-decreasing ceiling for the definition of "rich". Taxing small businesses (let alone large companies), penalties for producers of energy (the recent story on killing the coal industry is telling), a "Civilian National Security Force" - WTF is that? (SS anyone?). Hiding details of his background like his birth certificate, his college record, his medical records, among many other things. "Punishing" media that disagrees or reports something negative. Instigating, and/or by silence, condoning the search of private records on civilians for political reasons. It doesn't matter what you think of McCain, a vote against Obama is a vote against New Nazism. I mean, if you ever wondered how an "intelligent, sophisticated" electorate could allow someone like Hitler to ascend to power, wonder no more because you are witnessing it right here during election '08. History is clearly lost on the Obama Koolaid drinkers. This is just as off the hook as a rabid Obama fan boy supporting everything the man says or does just because he's protrayed on TV as the 'harbinger of change' (I never thought I'd get nauseous when I heard the word 'change', but I digres...) Sizzle you don't know anything more about these folks than I do, or anyone else does. There is so much media spin, propaganda and bull{censored} surrounding anything that has to do with politics that it's impossible to make statements of certainty regarding anything about them. Each one of them will cater to their supporters, their special interest groups, and their close circle of friend's finances before they will do anything that's good for the country as a whole.
  3. After 8 years , and in 2004 seeing 54 million Americans saying " let the stupid bastard finish the job " I think its ok not to vote if you are completely disgusted It sure beats seeing racist +60 year old " Americans " vote for McCain because they despise the idea on an intelligent African American as President Exactly - I'll put money on 90% of the voting public having no real idea what their candidate is about. They only know what they see on TV or the internet. I don't mind Obama. I thought McCain had a lot of good ideas until he picked Sarah Palin as his running mate. No matter who it is though, the progression of greed, no accountability & irresponsibility that seethes through our culture like a disease will continue unabated. I'd rather spend my time writing music or focusing on ways to improve my personal finances, then heading down to the voting booth to cast a ballot for some cookie cutter politician who wont make a damn bit of difference to the real problems this country faces.
  4. I'm not going to waste my time. I dont like either candidate, and because the US political system is in disrepair voting for a 3rd party is pointless.
  5. I agree that modelling technology doesnt come close to a great mic'd amp yet. I do love my GS-10 for what it is though.
  6. I bought the $200 'Creation Station' from GuitarCenter. I like it. I had one of my synths on the desk as a controller but then there's no room, so they're off to the left. I have a small room, so this is about a big of a desk as I can fit in here. I'd like something bigger and wider eventually.
  7. I use Sonar5.0 and I like it a lot. There are some quirky bits but Ive been using Cakewalk since ProAudio 6.0, so Im used to the workflow with their software. Sometimes, I cant help what wonder what life would be like with Cubase, ProTools, Logic, etc. Just curious - has anyone went from Sonar to something else? How does the new environment compare? Thanks! Awake
