  1. The Deluxe/ Fullerton Legacys are great guitars. If is a 'Tribute', or a 'Placentia', then the price is way out of line.
  2. Wine is definitely more for chilling out...sorry you are dealing with 'stuff'. Nothing wrong with yard work either...that's how I spent the better part of my day.
  3. The Bartolini MK1's are worth more than you paid for both! Nice double play! So...how did you saved him from buying a Chinese Gibson copy?
  4. need to see it....pics from above, low level [along the top showing the edge].... Typically you need something like a hair dryer to warm up the adhesive, and something thin to get under the edge [like feeler gauges or your fingernail]. Without knowing what the adhesive was, you should also get some lighter fluid [like Ronsonol], guitar polish or lemon oil to remove the adhesive residue. Sometimes the adhesive will just peel up, or roll off...sometimes, on older guitars, it can be a grunt. Depending how long that has been on, it may leave a 'tan line'.... Watch this:
  5. Nethan...you post a link in your own thread where you claim to be a newbie? Yeah, your posting on HC has been very odd for someone claiming to be a 'newbie', and I have asked you before not to do this....so that is it. Buh-Bye! अलविदा, और वापस मत आना
  6. Okay...guitars are better than guns...trust me, I have both...
  7. Let's not go that far, kwak.... Maybe you could sell that top to Bite Guitars as a prototype for an acoustic line
  8. That was my main concern when you first mentioned you wanted to re-use them....a shame. but, as we know, $#!+ happens. It just proves what a good job you did attaching them in the first place!
  9. Okay, it looks like you have your head and your heart back in this one So, the Martin braces were not salvageable, or will you use them again elsewhere?
  10. a powered mixer has a built in amplifier...so, yes, but for what purpose?
  11. send a PM to ksl...he's still shows up occasionally...my guess is he didn't.
  12. The '-EV' is the highest quality standard for Soviet-era tube manufacture....like I said...these are mil-spec tubes From VivaTubes site: "These are the special EV version which means they were produced at extremely high standards for the Soviet military and are the best version you can get "
  13. You are right, I ignored the tooling cost since they didn't state it, but typically the NRE is the killer. Tooling gets defrayed over units built. I still have to ask if you have applied for a patent, because showing your concept around without any protection is asking to be ripped off [don't ask how I know...]. However, if other companies have a display/process that is similar to yours, then you may be SOL. I take it you have not built a working prototype?
  14. If you can find a matched set of the 6P14P tubes, I 'd go with them. They are a true 'mil-spec' tube, so quality wise they should be top notch. I've seen them all over eBay, so they seem to be plentiful.
  15. Standing by for #4. I hope this one goes better for you than #3...which seemed to give you issues almost every step of the way until the last 'indignity'. I like the grain in that mahogany...linear with character.
  16. so...ask them who might be interested in your idea. The reality, though, is that the development costs could be prohibitive [$20k is actually not outrageous], and you need to evaluate the target market. What would be the time frame for ROI? How to market this? How many units could you sell? Have you applied for a patent?
  17. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! what a waste of a marvelous instrument. You should just will it to me, so you will rest in peace knowing it is in good hands....
  18. That is a shame. I actually expected you to have greater damage risk near the neck, where there would be less flex. It is such a nice sheet of spruce...maybe you could cut it down to a parlor size?
  19. Yes a nice axe, indeed, but not a 'DW-300'. That BW has a split back, whereas the DW shown has a 3 piece back.
  20. That is a unbelievable find! Many BCR acoustics sell well over $1000. I am more familiar with their older electrics [having briefly owned a Seagull]; as there is no serial number, and I could not find any reference to a 'DW' series, I suggest you contact BC Rich [now in Florida]. support@bcrich.com
