Members gardo
I wanted to say National. I check out the resonators every time I visit GC but playing slide messes up my head so I said ES339
Members Chordite
The National because it is the only one that is really going to change something.
Members Tom Mc1
The National is perfect for slide. The Van Zandt, good for slide. The Gibsons will need setup.
Members Chordptrn
None of the above. It's your choice. HNGD if it happens.
Members billybilly
I voted SG, as you've been eyeing those. What would you play the most? That's the one I would get.
Members Danhedonia
The 339 is a phase. You're not an SG guy (trust me on this - you'll eventually come to see this). Which means the National or the Strat. I'm skeptical that the National is more than a curio to you - if so, get it. If not, get the Strat.

Members Freeman Keller
I own three resonators right now and if I had a chance to buy a (good) '34 Nat I would jump on it. A Duolian isn't my favorite (I own one, would like to change it for another model) but if that one is good, go for it.

I couldn't agree more, Strat for the win.
Members soundcreation
van zandt strat without a doubt. Probably be one of the best guitars you've ever played. (it's not the green one on ishibashi is it?)

Phil O'Keefe
You've been gassing for an SG for a while now, haven't you? The ES339 sized guitars are a lot of fun (I reviewed a Casino Couple last year), but is a semi-hollowbody really what you want? In your shoes, I'd go with what I've been gassing for the longest and most consistently. Therefore, I voted SG.

It's one of the newer models (about 4 years old). I play it all the time

I'm sick of the weight of my Les Paul (tokai)... and was thinking i'd replace it with a lighter humbucker guitar

Members GAS Man
I voted for the Strat because I've long viewed Strats as being an essential versatile tool, but really the correct answer is, you need to buy all four. Seriously. All good choices. I personally prefer playing my 339 over my

Moderators Ratae Corieltauvorum Posted October 16, 2015 Moderators Share Posted October 16, 2015 seller's pics played the strat tonight and ruled it out... great guitar but not the right fit van Zandts have prtty skinny necks, SC likes his, but I've played one, and although I could see it was a superior instrument it didn't "float my boat". I still kick myself for letting a Greco Super Real SE-800 slip thru my fingers

Love it like crazy. Love my chunky tele duncan neck too. I guess I just don't care about the neck shape. But yeah I get it.....sometimes a guitar just grabs you and sometimes it doesn't.
