A bit like the song. Put together a partscaster and was never quite satisfied . After trading some gear I ended up with a Little 59 Strat neck Pup so why not give it a try . It has promise but the bridge didn’t blend well so it now has a GFS oversized pole price wound to 10 k Maybe this time it’ll be done bonus It seemsI don’t know how to post a video so here’s a link to the song https://youtu.be/leJPJ764Bxs

If I understand it you have EMG pickups. Have you considered the 18 volt mod ?

how common is a cable to break but not the plugs?
gardo replied to guitargo25's topic in Electric Guitars
Are you certain the cable is the problem and not the jack ? A volt/ ohm meter can check cable continuity -
I swapped out the pickups on this Tele type. .GFS FatBody pickups with an overwound bridge.. It’s better than it’s supposed to be and is becoming my favorite The original pups weren’t bad so they found a home in another T type

It’s not the China Virus that that hurt this place but rather poor management over several years .

I also have two of their Teles, the first one had fret sprouts everywhere. Once I smoothed them the neck actually felt so good that I got the second one which came with a perfect neck. I still prefer the maple fretboard though.

Does anyone stiil play through a Crate amps anymore?
gardo replied to Blues101's topic in Electric Guitars
Welcome to the forum. I can’t help you out with the amp problem but I would love to see the restoration work on that 12 string Maybe you can even start a thread on the acoustic section. I’m sure you’ll get a lot of interest -
Good to see your name again People are out there somewhere and come around on occasion but ….

I just don’t like white pickgaurds also I hit the fretboard with some Old English to darken and enhance to grain

I bought this one because of the neck. It’s a little chunkier than my Mexican Strat but not like a baseball bat either. The body is 3 piece ash. I found it on the clearance page at GuitarFetish. There is a small scuff on the back of the neck near the heel ,it’s barely visible and in an area I would never feel it. No problem. It was discounted $10 for the scuff but 20% off for a sale meaning it was delivered to my door for under $200. it was very playable after tuning. The neck feels great , frets are good and the pickups are fine. I did go over it later. The truss rod got an adjustment and the action on the bass strings was a little higher than I prefer but overall it was pretty good. I normally change strings right away but it sounds pretty good already so the 9’s will stay for a while. I do plan to darken the fretboard whenever the strings get changed. Here’s a close up of the damage

Nobody likes the word pastel , I should have asked for surf colors

That just may be. I know the cheapest tuner I have works better than the others for intonation.

That’s just what I ended up doing too, simple and effective

Talk about the perfect storm. I thought it would be easier to see what’s not wrong with this thing ,but I haven’t found anything not wrong
