Members nighthawk15
I am for the most part a humbucker guy because I mostly play hard rock, punk, and metal. But for clean or light breakup tones I really love single coils. So I guess I'm a little bit of both in a sense.
Members Bitter Dawn
It's likely I don't know enough about each type or, have enough experience with both types to really comment but, I've always dug humbuckers more. I suppose my reason is, I'm just another dumb metal head.

Members Muddslide
Man, I go back and forth. My all-time favorite solidbodies are Teles and Les Pauls. They just both have their applications. I play a lot of surf/spy/spaghetti western instro stuff and for that I use my $35 Squier Strat and I don't know if a Strat can be beat for that kind of music. But I also love caveman fuzz-out garage rock and psych and I really like the heavier, full-bodied HB crush at those times.
Members Faber
I go back and forth but in a live setting I usually go for the humbucker equipped guitars.
Members Les Paul Lover
You can play very different things with both. Some single coil just doesn't come out on humbucker and vice versa.
Members Electric Monk
Depends what I'm playing or what mood I'm in, but gun to my head I guess I'd say I'm a Tele kind of guy.
Members guitarman3001
I have guitars with both but I play with humbuckers about 99.9% of the time. They sound ballsier and don't buzz when I crank up the distortion.

Members kirs
Humbucker guy with an affinity for P90s which are the best of both worlds (and the worst too).
Members normh
Single coil guy, but they have to be stacked in parallel so that they become humbuckers.
Members BoneNut
Been on both sides of this fence. The hum from singles almost killed them for me but once I learned how to quiet them down (shielding, braiding, short leads, no little wires stuck up like antennas, etc), I stick to single coils now pretty much. Members crowguitar
I kind of fit in saying both.I love each kind of pickup for different reasons and different situations.Humbuckers are great when you wanna just get nice thick tones, but nothin beats a good single coil in certain musical applications. I need to be versatile, especially in the studio, so lots of my guitars are equipped with both. And/or I just swap out guitars to fit the songs/style Im playing at the time. And I LOVE p90's most of all, they kind of fall somewhere in between, tonally.

Members Brian Krashpad
Numerically, I think more of my guitars have singles, especially if you count the splittable bucker'd ones in both camps. But I'll always want both.

I've been playing a P90 equipped guitar lately. Don't know why I waited so long, I love them. Not a big fan of traditional single coils.
