After reading the link, I think they need to be rubbed with bong resin to play properly.

I'm going to say you're right and it's pretty lame. However, if the pups are mounted to the body instead of the guard it'd at least make sense. But I doubt that's the case.

If I wanted a chambered single cut at that price point, I'd just buy a White Penguin.
