  1. Now on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230823104206#payId : $375 +shipping Very good condition as I've only owned it about 6 months. This is one of the newer Progressions made in Canada. Trans caramel with rosewood. Guitar plays great and sounds awesome, beautiful clean tones I find. It's pretty heavy, I don't have a scale to weigh it on but it's surprisingly hefty. I'm looking for $375+shipping. Comes with Godin gigbag. CONUS only please. I'm not looking for trades right now.
  2. Jack White in the White Stripes. I prefer The Raconteurs. I also like them more than the stripes I'll add slash to the list. Think he's an inspiring lead player but I don't like GnR really.
  3. I went through a "blues phase" a few years ago that had at least something to do with the forum, tends to be a lot of talk about the blues players here. Still like blues music but hardly listen to it these days. My music tastes are more affected by music school right now, learning about some great jazz and fusion bands.
  4. you're giving up an MIA Fender and a DRRI? i think he's getting the better end of the deal. Agreed. I don't doubt the PRS is a great guitar but I wouldn't make the deal personally and I think you'd lose a little bit of money.
  5. This list seems more objective............. http://www.digitaldreamdoor.com/pages/best_country/best_countryguitar.html If it was, Brent Mason would be a little higher.
  6. I don't really like pickup rings besides on Gibson type guitars (I guess they suit Soloists pretty well too), direct mount looks much better on most flat tops IMO. Even on guitars without pickguards I usually like direct.
  7. Some of these guys are songwriters who just happen to play guitar....yea I'm talking about YOU, Cobain. If you get to be #12 then Bob Dylan gets to be #7 or something because he plays better than you and also writes better songs. Agreed. Love Nirvana, but Kurt doesn't belong on top of most of the names on the list by a long shot. Certainly should be high on a "Best Frontman" type list but not on a list about guitarists.
  8. I feel like this has been discussed a million times. I disagree with most of this list from top to bottom. A lot of guitarists that I really like that I still think are too high or low, and some I don't like that are too high or too low. EVH at 70 and Gilmour at 82 are lunacy, both of them should be way higher. There's some stuff I like in there, I dig that they mention Steve Howe and Robert Fripp, Les Paul too (should be at the very least in the top 20 though, he's #1 in my "list"). But who cares what I think, and who cares what Rolling Stone thinks anyway.
  9. btw im stupid who was out first van halen or hendrix? who inspired who or both same era? Van Halen influenced Hendrix, but Van Halen drew a lot of his own influence from Jimmy Buffett.
  10. I gotta put him on the short list along with Page, Clapton, and Hendrix in terms of influence. Yep, throw SRV in there and IMO that's the list of most influential guitarists in rock history.
  11. The pilot episode of SpongeBob SquarePants first aired in the United States on Nickelodeon on May 1, 1999, following the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards. The "official" series premiere followed on July 17, 1999, with the second episode, "Bubblestand/Ripped Pants." Source i remember watching that bubblestand episode when it first aired. i remember thinking "WHAT THE {censored} IS THIS I WANT MORE."
  12. Yes -- in all it's incarnations... I sing opera, play bagpipes, write music on guitar ... you should record all that onto one song and see what happens
  13. what's the neck on the new charvels like?
