i can't resist.

i said hello to Pete Townshend at a private party at the Plaza hotel in NYC..must have been 1979. I touched his arm as i babbled something about how i love his stuff . he wore the signature cashmere V neck , blue, and it was sooooooo soft..

he said thank you.smiled and raised his glass. :)

I also met Joni mitchel about the same time and babbled the same thing.

i have met quite a few famous people, used to get autographs.

i worked at a club in NYC

I's all in my book. (yet to be published)

I recently met To-Mera (who? exactly) while supporting them.

My Mother on the other hand works in Environmental Health and was regularly responsible for noise monitoring at major events at the Milton Keynes Bowl (you may have seen it in the recent crop of 'live' Green day videos'. She has met:

Guns n roses (use your illusion tour)

Metallica.

Every artist on the ozzfest tour in the late 90's (she thought the foo fighters were 'very nice young men', but largely dissaproved of fear factory. And described ozzy as 'a big cry baby')

and a pile of other folk.

Talked to Reb Beach at a guitar clinic one time. I've also Brian May's guitar (I've got a friend who put a special neck on one of his guitars). Hung out with the drummer from Son Volt back in '95. My list isn't very impressive compared to the other posts I've read.
Non-music- I met and became friends with Rick Johnson. He was the be all end all of Supercross and Motocross in the Eighties. I am happy to say that he is as cool a guy that I thought he would be when I looked up to him as a young racer.

I hate to give away my age (137), but a couple of years ago I talked to Davey Jones, of the Monkees. My observations: he wears glasses, he's kinda short, but very pleasant. Doesn't have a really thick British accent anymore. He actually was a very nice person to talk with.
