Members gardo
This has been on the local CL seemingly forever. It’s advertised as an Ampeg Super Stud. Will some one please buy it so I don’t ever have to see it again.

Moderators daddymack Posted July 5, 2022 Moderators Share Posted July 5, 2022 Ampeg Super Stud GE-500s were built in Japan back around the mid 1970s. They are a bolt-on neck SG style, with a 'German carve' top, with real Bigsby vibratos. How much are they asking? In excellent condition, they typically sell for around $500 To my knowledge, they never finished them in black, so I won't buy it. Tell the seller to put it on Reverb.com...

Members DeepEnd
Clearly I'm in the minority but I don't think it looks that bad. Kind of Mosrite's take on an SG.

Members badpenguin
I've played them, they're ok at best, but on the HEAVY side of things. 500, fair, 700? It will rot on CL. 1

Ampegs were made by Matsumoku, who begat Univox, Aria, Diamond, Westone, Electra, Phoenix, and a host of others.
