here are my suggestions to add to the list:

1. create settings for Tuner--mainly so that you can tune w/o muting. but also so that it doesn't erase (or stop) your loop if you go into tuner mode.

2. fix Echoplatter Model--so at a minimum there are more repeats/oscillation. adding an Echoplatter "swell mode" would the {censored}--even if it has to be a separate model.

Hey everyone, I'm going to take Rich's advice and give some product feedback through the Line6 site.

Here's my list of demands
;)
:

Fixes:

-Octo mode time/octave control

-80A Flanger - HUGE Volume increase is bad

-When exiting Looper in Latch Scene mode, it reverts to Momentary.

-When looping, entering tuner mode kills the loop.

Updates:

-Numerical values for display rather than bars?

-Depth/shape Controls for Sequence Trem?

-Auto-volume delay doesn't have enough swell time for me. Increase?

-Echoplatter Model - More repeats/oscillation. + "swell mode"

New FX:

-Sans-reverb Octo Mode (Boss PS-3 Mode 7, Empress Superdelay Reverse Mode C, Eventide Pitchfactor Crystals)

-Arpeggiator (Eventide Pitchfactor)

-Dual Pitch Glide (Boss PS-3 Mode 10)

-Freeze/Gliss (EHX HOG)

-Marshall-in-a-Box type distortion? (Crunch Box, Box of Rock, OCD, Dirty Little Secret)

-Comp w/ Clean Blend (Barber Tone Press)

-Optical comp model (Diamond Compressor)

-Dynamic Drive-type model (Boss DN-2)

-Pitch Shifting Delay (Eventide Pitchfactor)

-New reverbs: Gate, Modulated, Reverse, Panning

-Stereo/Harmonic slicer effects (Boss SL-20)

-Overdrive with clean blend (Voodoo Sparkle Drive)

-Gated/Oscillating/Crazy Fuzz (Zvex Fuzz Factory)

I'm sure that there are other things to add. Care to contribute?

Bump to this page.

Brian's using an Ernie Ball VP Jr.

I thought this was on the list of expression pedals that do not work. Interesting. I know the M audio was also on the list, but maybe it does work as well? They're cheap, and mine seems to be fine for what it is.

Crxsh, are you using an expresison pedal at all? What does it control on the M9?

Can you explain the issue with Latch Scene and the looper? Are you saying that it should stay in Latch?

Also, I like killing the signal with the tuner, so I think that should be optional, the the option of turning dim on or off.

Yeah. If you're in latch scene mode when looping, once you exit, it goes back to momentary mode unless you enter the scene menu again. A little annoying if you're trying to punch back and forth between specific sounds.

Expression implementation is really very good. You can assign the two pedals to any of the FX (1,2,3, or any combination) or the Looper. Then, just like the looper on the DL4, just move the expression device to one extreme, twiddle knobs to taste, then to the other extreme, twiddle again & va-voom, you're all set. ;)

Oh. That's cool. So, you can control 2 parameters on each effect then.... if you've got 2 expression pedals?

No, I don't think you can do that. . .can only assign one pedal to each effect, but you can assign more than one effect per pedal, which is cool in a different way.

You can set up the effect how you like it, then tweak MULTIPLE parameters & shift between the two 'snapshots' with a single device though. EG: I have the '63 Spring 'verb set to shift the mix AND dwell together so its not only higher in the mix, but also goes longer. . . Also handy to have on a dirt you can have the bass cut & mids go up just a smidge when the gain goes up, etc.

Does anyone know if the tascam US 122L is useable for updating the firmware on the m9/13? Or if someone isnaware of a list of devices that are compatible I'd appreciate it

not sure on that model but the tascam us-144 did not work at all

complete no go

Okay, here's what I submitted to L6:

Fixes:

1. The octo mode time control on the Verbzilla has a lot to do with pitch it seems. Far more limited/not the same on the M9.

2. 80A Flanger has a HUGE volume increase. That's bad.

3. When exiting Looper in Latch Scene mode, it reverts to Momentary mode until you go into scene select. Good for some..... bad for me. Optional??

4. When looping, entering tuner mode kills the loop. This is bad.

Updates:

1. Could we have numerical values for parameter displays rather than bars? Optional?

2. Depth/shape controls for Sequence Trem would be nice.

3. Auto-volume delay doesn't have enough swell time for me. Could that be increased/extended?

4. Echoplatter Model - More repeats/oscillation. A "swell mode" would be nice too, even if that was another effect.

New FX I'd like to see:

1. Sans-reverb Octo Mode (Think Boss PS-3 Mode 7, Empress Superdelay Reverse Mode C, Eventide Pitchfactor Crystals)

2. New reverbs: Modulated, Reverse, Gated, etc.

3. Dual Pitch Glide w/ mix control (Boss PS-3 Mode 10)

4. Arpeggiator (Eventide Pitchfactor)

5. Freeze/Gliss (EHX HOG)

7. A Marshall-in-a-Box type distortion. (Crunch Box, Box of Rock, OCD, Dirty Little Secret)

8. Optical Comp w/ Clean Blend (Diamond Compressor meets Barber Tone Press)

9. A more dynamic drive model would be a godsend. (Think BJF Honeybee, Paul Cochrane Timmy, Boss DN-2)

10. Pitch Shifted Delays (Eventide Pitchfactor)

11. Stereo/Harmonic slicer effects (Boss SL-20)

12. Overdrive with clean blend (Voodoo Sparkle Drive)

13. Gated/Oscillating/Crazy Fuzz (Like the Zvex Fuzz Factory)

I'd encourage you guys to submit this list ... or one of your own here.
