Phil O'Keefe
Alison, Watching The Detectives... all the early stuff was definitely a Jazzmaster.

Members thom
Another vote for 'teenage riot' and 'out there'. Wouldn't know which Costello song to pick, but he deserves a spot in the jazzmaster hall of fame too.
Members Urinate Forever
dinosaur jr was best on their first two albums.
Members TravvyBear
Dinosaur Jr song you probable haven't heard. (Miracle Legion cover) Not a huge Dino fan, but I do love this.[video=youtube;MsrFhb2ss2Y]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MsrFhb2ss2Y Only Shallow of course.[video=youtube;Lf8j1bUgwJ8]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lf8j1bUgwJ8 Nels Cline does some cool Jazzmaster things.[video=youtube;C_q-Rl7i2mE] Pretty sure this is a Jazzmaster. Stone Roses cover.[video=youtube;HF91QxJVDU8] Man....I need a Jazzmaster.

Members Jet Age Eric
Instead of Dinosaur Jr stuff, I've been playing lots of Elvis Costello. Probably because I know a lot more of his stuff than the J Mascis stuff... I was a HUGE Elvis Costello fan for a long time and, apart from Watching the Detectives, I couldn't hum you one guitar line. Thrilled to see Los Swervies here. Here's one from Adam solo (should be all JM): [video=youtube;DSk9edHGAN4] David Kilgour is another great: [video=youtube;Rw5nAfflOHU] [video=youtube;ZJzdeNsohBA] Video aside, this is probably a JM. Phil O'Keefe
Thanks for posting those - I was actually going to go try to find the Costello one later, and you saved me the search.
Phil O'Keefe
@ ~4:20 in the J Mascis clip: "My motto is it's never too high, only too low." Considering how nice and low the action was from the factory on the Squier J Mascis, I suspect he's going to have to adjust it... On a totally unrelated side note - he seems like a pretty cool / laid back guy in that video. Pretty much comes across as an anti-rock star. Members Texas Noise Factory
^ Sound quality sucks. Spotify'd. Not aware that that is a jazz master. I believe all of their overdriven rhythm tracks on this album are doubled on a close mic'd acoustic guitar. But I could be wrong.

Phil O'Keefe
I was just playing WTD, and remembered how much I love the turnaround on the chorus ("shoot, shoot, shoot" section) ... C / G / Em / F / D / Am That D makes all the difference in the world. I dig the plunky rhythm guitar on this too...
