Members Loobs
My mid 90s LP Special with Lollar P90s for an early 70s Orange OR120 (?) with Mullards? I played one last weekend with my Les Paul and it sounded utterly incredible. Just a huge warm clean verging on overdrive. I can only imagine how good it'd sound with the Timmy and a nice fuzz. It'll knock me down to one electric for the time being but I do have money put away for a #2 when something good comes along.

Members Kid_A
Is it not an OR120? Yea the thick cleans on those a thick as {censored}, not a fan of the EQ though... What kind of a clean sound you looking for mate?
Members zygoat
Do it, you need a map and the LPC is badass enough to be the lone axe for now.

Members Crxsh
Yup. But do you have a cab?
Members arthurdent'd
yes. P-90's are noisy, Pics OR's are noisier! RAWK amps! I have owned a Rocker-30 and a Tiny Terror, they were awesome.

What kind of a clean sound you looking for mate? yup, it's an OR120. Not looking for spanky Fender clean, more something gritty and thick that will work with overdrive well. Don't play clean hardly at all in this current band and what little I do I can just get by backing off the volume. Played one last week in Rocker's and it sounded {censored}ing amazing. Members Loobs
Yup. But do you have a cab? No, but our first couple of gigs using the other band's cab is not a problem until getting hold of a cab. It just seems like too good an opportunity to pass up. Members arthurdent'd
they are quite dark and "foggy" sounding, but crushing volume and look cool as hell! ^^/.
Members Loobs
Not nearly as dark as I was expecting when I played one the other day. Not bright like a Fender Twin but not really that foggy sounding. The FAC control makes them quite versatile.
Members Kid_A
As a trade, yea id do it... but the sound you are looking for is JCM800 man... the 800 has a glassier punch, these OR120s are pretty dark as mentioned above, but do pack a whallop... Id do it personally... The OR series of Orange amps are THE amps... the AD series and rockers do nothing for me
Members Loobs
We'll see what he says. It's a trade up from the Gibson, even though it's a lovely guitar and I spent the money having the Lollars put in. Can't go wrong really. I find JCM800s a bit bright and harsh sounding. Members woolyh
Nothing like an old skool Orange We'll see what he says. Were you using stock speakers aka G12-75s? Horribly harsh sounding speakers in the upper mids, I don't know why Marshall ever matched them up with the 800, they must have been cheaper I guess
Members Loobs
Yeah, stock 1960A cab. Guitar: It's lovely...not the easiest trade to make but it's very tempting. Tbh I'm not using this guitar much at the moment either, using the custom pretty much exclusively.
Members claytonjohn18
I'd do that trade in a hearbeat. But Orange amps never show up used over here.
Members t-rey
What is the other electric? I would personally make that trade in a second, but I would be kinda bummed because a Les Paul with p90s would be an ideal guitar for fuzzed out jams with the OR. Members Loobs
I'm not doing fuzzed out jams really, more riffy punk/prog stuff. Other electric is a Les Paul custom.
