Members t-rey
I'm not doing fuzzed out jams really, more riffy punk/prog stuff. Other electric is a Les Paul custom. Right on - I would definitely do the trade then.
Members Capsule
I'd do it if the head was in good shape and i was confident about being about to find a cab from the same era. I'm weird like that i would want it to match. I've always wanted an Orange.

Members Faldoe
Do you have more Guitars than amps? / do you have a gigging amp at the moment?
Members IRG
Seems like if you really like the tone of the amp, more than the playability of the guitar, it makes sense to do. And you mentioned you have another guitar fund building, so you'll add a second one soon enough, maybe something a bit different too. If the Orange has good resale as well, then yeah. Members Loobs
Yeah, I have money in the bank for a second guitar and right now I don't have a gigging amp which is something I definitely need. I'll only have one guitar after that but it'll be temporary I guess. Just waiting to hear back from the guy, but he seems interested.
Members TomCTC
Ehh, I wouldn't want a Tokai as my main guitar. But that's just me. Trade it up, but I wouldnt expect to find another LP Special as nice as yours anytime soon. I had an Orange before, 'twas a good amp but I wouldn't say it was the best I've owned. Same goes for those Marshall 4x12s.

Members ChuckNorris1982
I guarantee that Japanese Tokai is better than 90% of modern Gibsons.
Members NateTheGreat
Never trade quality guitars for amplifiers. Guitar for guitar or amp for amp
Members NateTheGreat
IMHO Amps come and go. Great guitars do not.
Members NateTheGreat
I regret trading an original 72 fender tele custom (I got from a bluesCat fromTexas who moved to MI) for an orange rocker 30 Head that I sold less than A year later.
