Members goodhonk
I would rather it were double or triple the price and made in America with better parts. Great idea poorly executed. It's a shame. Fender used to make some of the best amps out there now they make crap. yeah, they shoulda badged it as a squier amp. I see no issue with them making a decent amp for us poorer folks, especially when it sounds good. Plus I imagine it's simple enough to switch out parts if you really want to. They make some "high priced" models but they're not any good. Not too many years ago Fender was probably one of the best amplifier companies out there. That's why you still see a lot of them. The garbage they make today isn't even American, although it's sold at USA made prices. It's a shame they won't just do it right.

I guess I assumed everything above their hot rod series was too but maybe I'm wrong. My 90s Blues Deluxe was made in the USA but I'm pretty sure their made in Mexico now. What other hand wired amps are they making? Check out their EC (Eric Clapton) line. There's a Twinolux, Tremolux, and Vibro-champ. All hand-wired and will cost you an arm and a leg. Members BG76
Yeah, I forgot about those. They're def cool. If I liked Clapton I would buy one. Aside from Politician I'm not really an EC fan.

Great idea poorly executed. It's a shame. Fender used to make some of the best amps out there now they make crap. But that is the beauty of this amp.It is a PAWN SHOP amp. The type of amsp you get in Pawn Shops (at least over ehere) are indeed cheap {censored}ty no-name valve amps from the late 50's and 60's !This amp ticks all the blocks for trying to be a retro amp. Cheap speaker - checkCheap internals - checkWeird cosmetics - checkCheap 'N Nasty greasy 60's tone - CHECK !!! This amp is not trying to be anything other than advertised. Members OnWingsOfLead
its not really suited for soundgarden riffs. spoonman just doesnt work with that amp for some reason.I really dug the one I played at work, though the first one came in broken:facepalm:
Members OnWingsOfLead
I saw - but didn't play - one at my local store the other day, could have walked out with a new one for $225 and passed. No reverb is iffy (you really can add a pedal, though I love Fender's amp reverbs), but for me the lack of a direct out is pretty tough to swallow. If I'm buying it for great tone in a portable size, wouldn't I think about using it to record? Might I want to direct line it someplace? And don't tell me there's no room - you added a FREAKING ACCORDIAN INPUT. The more I looked at the amp, the more I realized it's a cosmetic triumph and design failure. At some point I'm sure I'll plug one in and see how it sounds, but unless I'm down to my last $250 and will die without an amp, I couldn't picture getting this vs. a Junior Deluxe or etc. etc. etc.Which is really too bad, because the cosmetics ARE awesome, and I love a built-in trem. Boo direct outs.....hooray microphones Also, the different inputs sounded different/ broke up differently i thought, which made it cooler in my book

I for one, can not wait to plug an Epi Casino, Eastwood Tuxedo & Bighorn, Dano '59, Aria Retro 1532, Ibanez Jet King and Loar LH309 into this amp, crank it to 12, and play some dirty shirt rock n roll with it ! Members Danhedonia
"Boo direct outs.....hooray microphones" Ambient miking vs. line-in is an aesthetic choice; I do both, depending (on everything). I'll stand by the criticism that their choice of inputs/outputs was poor. There's the "Pawn Shop" aesthetic, but at a certain point {censored}ty is {censored}ty, and I don't want that kinda {censored}ty. As for electric accordian players waiting on an amp ... I'm sure you're being funny. But I get the drift that this is supposed to be multi-purpose; that's fine. I do not demand that everything be "all guitar, all the time." Still think they could have done the configuration a little differently. Here's my prediction: this amp is not going to sell well.

Members DigiTechRep
I tried one on Sat at my local indie. At low volumes the clean is great, increasing the volume it starts to break up VERY quickly. Some may not dig that, but I do. This would be a great recording amp, probably not loud enough for the gigs I play. I will have this amp. Now, what to sell...
Members d4rk0
All the demos sound {censored}ty but I want this amp to be awesome. Members the_woodoo_mule
I`ve been playing this amp since we got it in last week. sounds great with a tele, not impressed with humbuckers. That amp and a classic vibe series tele is the ultimate home setup for me. Clean until halfway that it get nice and dirty, garage dirty...I really really like it. Members Danhedonia
I live in New Mexico. We have a small (44% of the state population) Latin community here; I'm familiar with norteno (good for you for knowing how to keystroke a tilde). Still think the person was attempting a joke. Either way, you could have a sousaphone input, and I WANT A DAMN SPEAKER OUT. Is it too much to ask, Phil? Is it? Nah, it's not! And not only ain't there no reverb, there's not much room to add one y'self. Pfeh, I say, to the Excelsior. Mark my words, it won't sell.
