I'm really loving the Sleepercar album. Nice mix of indie and alt country.

One of my favourite bands, I love all of Jim Ward's stuff (ATDI, solo, Sparta, Sleepercar). Met him a couple times, super nice dude.

Neko is amazing - such an incredible musician.

A buddy of mine is her tech and got us backstage last summer in PDX. Turns out she and CB Castillo went to the same HS in Tacoma so they gabbed about that while Waldo and me drank Neko's beer and hung out with her guitarist Paul Rigby who is a monster player BTW.

I first heard her live album 'The Tigers Have Spoken' with The Sadies as her backing band and immediately fell in love.

Have ever heard Elvis' 'Momofuku' record? Killer album with Jenny Lewis and Jonathan Wilson on it.

I'd love to hear an album with Neko and Elvis - their styles would blend amazingly well I think.

I haven't. But I'll have to check it out.

The Tigers Have Spoken is awesome. thumb.gif

Also, you should look into some straight up country. Check out Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, Waylon Jennings, Hank Williams Sr. and Jr., Emmylou Harris, Johnny Paycheck, Gary Stewart, Dave Dudley, etc.

This is what I grew up on.
