Members FretFiend.
That 114C is definitely a step up from a cheapo Epiphone. Which Martins were you considering?
Members panhandler
You never know which one is going to speak to you. Congratz... Nice guitar!
Members Mercenary
the martin i was looking at was the XC1T but it was a tad bit too much for what i was looking to spend, and martin didnt offer the 15% off after a trade in
Members knockwood
Congrats! I love teh 14's. FWIW, I'm definitely a Martin fan but I think you ultimately made a much better choice than the particular Martin you were considering. Hope you enjoy it! Members seagullplayer77
whats with the two pics of goats? haha One of our quirky little traditions. New guitars get goats. That's just the way it works . If you want the story behind it, check out the second post in this thread. In any case, happy NGD! That Taylor looks mighty fine . In fact, I think it looks ten times better than the Martin you were looking at. That particular guitar looks just plain ugly, IMO. It's not about looks, of course, but . . . yeesh! Members garthman
Congratulations. I hope you enjoy playing it. PS. I would have bought the Taylor rather than the Martin too
Members ejbpesca
I went in for a Taylor and came out with a Martin...saved $1500. It was a very fancy Taylor and a plain Martin.
