Jazzmaster pickups are the noisiest. Hope this helps! Although technically they are not single coils, the Fender Hot Noiseless pickups sound far better than any either one of those and they are dead quiet. You suffer from delusions of grandeur: If you truly think that you were more instrumental in creating this forum than were all of the other thousands of contributors who discussed their love of guitars here--and sadly you do think this--therein lies the reason for all your self-sanctimonious bloviating. Some people buy into your Salt of the Earth routine. But the truth is that you like to insult others, to reprimand them as if you are better than them, as if you are the real guitarist, while others are only shoppers; but as soon as you sense that not everyone is behind your bloviating, out of insecurity you do something benevolent, even generous, to disguise your true self. Today was classic JJ. You ripped into everyone by starting an OT thread (what gives you the audacity to start a thread like that?) in which you got up on your pedestal to speak down to the underlings and then said you were going outside to play your guitar. But you never left your computer, it seems, because soon after--and true to your pattern--you started the HoneyIsCool appreciation thread. Now, HIC deserves a thread, so I'm all for it, no matter why it was started. But I ask all of you who think that I am way off base to just follow JJ for a while. You will see the pattern play out in front of you again and again and again. I guarantee it. All of you love guitars equally. You might love different brands, models, approaches to playing the guitar, but the one common denominator is you love guitars. And you come here to share your passion for guitars and to exchange knowledge about guitars. And you do it for escape, as well. There's nothing wrong with that.
