  1. -----------------I am proud to accept YOUR surrender:thu:, as well the confiscation of your first-born son in this great loss(perhaps I can find him a position in my manor as a man-servant), and I saute you for having the couarge to accept this SHAME, with jokes and a smile:p.....................The REAL Rocker. While i do agree with your points about Mr Segal and Mr Mayer i don't approve of the mean and demeaning style you have of retorting. Don't lower yourself down to their level REAL Rocker. You're better than that:thu:
  2. unclear on HC concept: u sir have no taste, or one for cawk That is truly hateful.
  3. Grow up. It was humour. Go somewhere else and wait to be offended if you dont like it. There is no reason for hostility old friend.
  4. I wonder if they marketed it wrong. Perhaps people thought is was a action adventure movie or a documentary. I really do think if they took the stage production on ice it would be as moving as Sgt Peepers was with the Bee Gees.
  5. Across the Universe was a cess-ridden bastardization of the greatest rock music ever written. I don't plan on repeating the experience by seeing Rock of Ages. I lived it in the 80's and don't need to see a musical to tell me how it was. While i would agree that The Beatles along with Radiohead and The Counting Crows is the greatest rock music ever written, i felt that Across The Universe brought the majesty and pageantry of the Fabs to a new generation and put into a context that could be appreciated by people from every walk of life. I feel that ROA has done the same thing.
  6. I was pretty stoked for this to come out, then I saw a clip of zeta jones singing something. The songs aren't even redone well, just like her singing over the backing track. Maybe the others are different, but based on reviews I doubt it. Even Moulon Rouge had a badass Elton John cover. Across the universe did some awesome covers as well, I love really clean/produced, well done covers You need to experience in a group experience. Like yourself i felt that Across The Universe was truly a magical experience. How could it not be? My fave band of all time along with Radiohead is The Beatles. You need to see ROA in a theater.
  7. if my 15 year old Glee loving daughter thinks it sucks it must REALLY suck. But other people enjoy it. Why be mean?
  8. I am sorry for your loss. Mojo sent. I don't think he suffered something bad though. I think he really enjoyed a fine night of entertainment. It is a truly amazing movie. As amazing as the musical is the film may even be better.
  9. It is truly amazing. Tom really brought it home for me. I hear that Joe and The Save from Def Lep really loved it as well. Who can blame them? As much as i loved Across The Universe i think this may even be better. Truly amazing.
  10. I'm sorry if that reply offended you. But, with all due respect, you do realize we're in a thread with the word 'douchenozzle' in the title? With all due respect old friend, fighting the uncouth by being uncouth does not make your point more valid. If you want to fly with the eagles Sir, you must not spend your time eating your own excrement with the chickens. You are better than that. At least i have always felt that by your post. One of the things i have always loved about your post was the ideal of keeping your feet on the ground and yet, somehow still reaching for the stars. Keep reaching for the stars old friend. Don't become a bottom feeder.
  11. I think you should have kept that sense of child-like wonder at the world. Where's that wistful sense of humor we all used to know and love? And that child like laugh.
  12. Ladies and gentlemen, this is why it's a bad idea to post on an internet forum while undergoing electroconvulsive therapy. That was uncouth.
  13. John plays some of the most luscious blues i have ever heard.
  14. All this I cannot bear to witness any longer.Cannot the kingdom of salvation take me home ?
  15. We live in a marketing world. Fender is a marketing company. John Mayer is a marketable product. The fact that he is actually a good guitar player seems secondary in this marketing world and in this thread. Ritchie Blackmore has been described as "difficult" but that does not stop people from listening to and enjoying his guitar playing. Why should Mayer be any different? Because Blackmore is a God and can rock a Pilgrim hat better than a pilgrim.
  16. I love the ones that are in my Beck.
  17. A cognitive bias in which unskilled people make poor decisions and reach erroneous conclusions, but their incompetence denies them the metacognitive ability to recognize their mistakes. The unskilled therefore suffer from illusory superiority, rating their ability as above average, much higher than it actually is.
  18. Wow. Some people's children. I can only believe your poor mother has to say the same about you being her biggest mistake. I mean, the thread title may as well have said: "HEY EVERYONE!! Look at me! I'm over here! You know, the one picking his nose and eating his boogers! I'm here! Right here! I matter! Look! Look at me! Hello? Someone? Anyone? ^ This is why I stop by about once a month just to see if anything's changed. It hasn't.
  19. Django Sentenza for mod 2012!!!!+1.
  20. Rolling Stone is a freakin comic book and a shadow of what it once was... It was once good?
  21. Import taxes would kill him. You can't purchase that model from the site. I have tried to find one in their buy it now option and it's never listed. It's been that way for about four or five years now.
  22. Probably this http://www.exlusiveguitars.com/exlusive_shredder.html BINGO!!!!!!!!!! That's the one i was talking about.
  23. There is a company based out of Italy that hade a scalloped guitar with Dimarzio H3 pu's that sold i think for about $500. It was advertised on the GW forum about three years ago and i haven't been able to find a link since then. Awesome looking guitar though.
  24. It'll be funny the day he finally comes out of the closet. Followed by Henry Rollins, Danzig,Lee Ving and David Lee Roth.
