Members sharkbait
The homemade video deserves special mention for being repugnant as well.

Members sharkbait
Another horrific homemade video to accompany a particularly contemptible tune- the "message" is the definition of bohemian cop-out.
Members sharkbait
Smarmy tune, if catchy and ultra-melodic, but the lyrical hook is nauseating and that giggle is the finger in your throat.
Members AlamoJoe
Looks like Bobby Goldsboro is the big winner/loser here.
Members davd_indigo
Well "Watching Scotty Grow" was uplifting and life affirming after the emotional loss of "Honey". Seems like Bobby Goldsboro may have been the King of Corn for a while.
Members Jeff Leites
The late 50's and early 60's were rife with bad novelty hit songs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MH2CX4WhMZw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4gru7Ial3k https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DL1ZH0Ke92A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zLD_LTXRmDY
Members sharkbait
I confess I actually really like a lot of these songs- the more boneheaded, the better. Anyway, here's another one that's profoundly stupid. Punk happened for a reason- exhibit A. Bonus points to the video maker for utilizing the insipid movie that the tune "inspired". Members sharkbait
I wonder what his deal was. He must have had a manager that kept producing this gruel. Imagine getting locked into that thematic mode. He looks opiated in those performance clips.
Members Notes_Norton
I'm a little late to the party, so I don't know if it's a repeat or not. Surfin' Bird by The Trashmen
Members Anderton
"Sometimes When We Touch," by Dan Hill. It's like he was instructed to over-emote as much as humanly possible before doing his vocal, then he did six more takes where after each one, he was told repeatedly that he hadn't over-emoted enough. But few standards of awfulness can reach the level of Neil Diamond's immortal reggae version of "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer."
Members sharkbait
That Dan Hill song makes milk curdle and flowers wilt- inexcusable! Perfect representative still on the YouTube thumbnail, as well. And love the poodle-hair guitarist nodding along in deep empathy as he waits to come in. Was that Neil Diamond song a hit? I'm hoping not. If not, and we can open up the field to horrible songs that weren't, then that's a whole different ballgame. A, shall we say, NIGHT game.... Members sharkbait
Mawk, don't run... [video=youtube;-ZNtcCM3Cvo]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ZNtcCM3Cvo I like how they didn't even attempt to include a woman fake-singing the female part. Or maybe the voice is emanating from a tiny, doll-sized co-joined head hidden under Paul's polyester shirt.
Members sharkbait
Some of you might dig on this, but hey, I dig Surfin' Bird. But both songs might have the same effect: you hear the first bit of vocal and you want to yell obscenities Tourette-style. You know you're in for a little ride you don't want to take (*).... (*something I feel the same about for another hit "Hey Jude")

Members elsongs
It's quite obvious that none of you geezers have heard modern pop music. The worst song mentioned here is still a million times better than most of what's on the charts today.
Members Jeff Leites
I'm a little late to the party, so I don't know if it's a repeat or not. Surfin' Bird by The Trashmen t's a repeat, but worth mentioning twice, LOL. Checkout my video on page 8 (Post #114). My next candidate is any of the spoken word recordings by William Shatner, but the one I remember is "Lucy in the sky With Diamonds"
