Decently - I can play the arpeggio part from "Aesthetics of Hate" with no problems + a few minor scale things. But usually, I just don't need/want to.

I can play more quickly than a lot of guitarists, and much less quickly than a lot of guitarists.

None of my favorite music is good because it's fast. Literally none. Even my favorite metal isn't good because it's fast. I cannot CANNOT CANNOT CANNOT stand Malmsteen, it's just, good god, he never stops, it's an endless solo from start to finish. I don't disparage people who like him, or think he's playing "without soul," I'm sure he is communicating a meaningful message to a receptive audience. I am not in it.

Big fan of Satriani though.

You use it when it fits, and you make it interesting and combine it with other techniques.

Totally fair, most of it is. Even most of Satriani's music is boring. He's just one of the only guys out there I like who writes nice instrumentals.
