Members Dr. Goldenglove
Decently - I can play the arpeggio part from "Aesthetics of Hate" with no problems + a few minor scale things. But usually, I just don't need/want to.
Members Agreed
Not as fast as I'd like to be, but who gives a {censored}.I can play more quickly than a lot of guitarists, and much less quickly than a lot of guitarists.None of my favorite music is good because it's fast. Literally none. Even my favorite metal isn't good because it's fast. I cannot CANNOT CANNOT CANNOT stand Malmsteen, it's just, good god, he never stops, it's an endless solo from start to finish. I don't disparage people who like him, or think he's playing "without soul," I'm sure he is communicating a meaningful message to a receptive audience. I am not in it.Big fan of Satriani though. All of that 'shred' music is equally repugnant and boring, IMO of course.
Members Rizza
You use it when it fits, and you make it interesting and combine it with other techniques. This. I'm also a Petrucci fan. I wish I could shred/play faster. But I know speed and clarity requires a lot of practice.

Members vinnies
also a petrucci fan, and i think speed is good in the right place. like one or two places maybe. give me a long sustained note that gives me chills over a million notes anyday. but i do love me some 'trucci licks. Members ninjaaron
My coordination sucks, so slow. slower than Hendrix for sure. n00bs think I'm fast though, so that's nice.
Members Agreed
All of that 'shred' music is equally repugnant and boring, IMO of course. Totally fair, most of it is. Even most of Satriani's music is boring. He's just one of the only guys out there I like who writes nice instrumentals.
