Members ben_allison
Foot caught on the cable which was plugged in, fell forward off the stand, and that was it. It's happened before! Guitar stands should be banned. They're so horribly designed. Anyway, I think I'm going to try and repair it myself. I've looked around, and being a fairly clean break, I think it should go fairly smoothly.

Members lefort_1
guitar make/model?from an engineering standpoint, ansmooth, clean break is not necessarily good.IFF the break occured staright across the location of the nut, the crossectional area is at its minimum. This means any adhesive wiwill have the least-possible surface area to work on. Also, many adhesives are at their weakest in the direction of a "shear"I hope none of this applies to you, but a smotth, even break ain't necessarily the best type to have. Members ben_allison
The first time it happened, my wife cried! That's how I know I married a good one. It looks bad but I'm sure with some Titebond and clamping, it'll be fine.

Members blueboxer
Don't worry, Les Pauls are good at breaking and being glued back together. The other guitarist in my band dropped mine years ago and it repaired no problem.
Members echodeluxe
I've had friends snap their lps and have them repaired to find the tuning stability better than ever. I'm sure you'll be ok. Good luck!
Members Player99
Your wife cried 'cause she saw another $2,500 going out the window...Seriously that break is a good one for repair... a pro can make it as strong or stronger and the break almost disappear. Members GuitarSlim101
Damn, that sucks. But, from how things look in those pictures, that should glue up without too much hassle (as far as broken headstocks are concerned). Good luck with the repair. Members k tone
Use the yellow carpenter's glue (not the white {censored}). Use screwed clamps for mechanical advantage (not the squeeze ones). Wipe of excess glue while it is still wet or you will cry.
