Members eti
It's happened before! Les Paul necks should be banned. They're so horribly designed. Fix'd
Members Dr.Picklebottom
i totally prefer gibson style guitars to fender but one thing fenders have going for them is durability. my tele feels like i could throw it out of a 3 story window and itd still be in tune whereas my les paul, well- this thread. Members 98 les paul
Here's how I fixed mine back in the day. Good ol' saran-wrapped wood chunks, jorgenson clamps and Elmer's wood glue. I let it sit like that for 3 or 4 days. It's held strong for about 8 years now.

Phil O'Keefe
That really sucks - sorry to hear that Ben... on the upside, it looks like a good candidate for a repair.
Members ben_allison
Mojo received. Yeah Phil, that's what I figured. Getting some good advice on TGP, as I'm planning to fix it myself!
Members six acre lake
Sucks that it happened but its your fault. Why would you leave the {censored}er plugged in? Yes, guitar stands suck but leaving them plugged in AND on the stands is a dumb move.
Members Guit-mangler
My SG had a crack at the volute (heel) when I got it,,but I took it to a local luthier and he not only glued it, but drilled and doweled the crack. It's been 20+ years with no sign of trouble.. I would consider taking it in and seeing how much a repair would be before gluing it again. My repair only cost me $
