As I've found out recently, older Fender SS combos are considered the bee's knees among solid states. Up there with Jazz Choruses in terms of cleans.

Congrats!

I used to have a Stage 185, very good cleans and excellent reverb. Gigged w/ it for a while and never had a complaint about my tone :)

My classic player jazzmaster came in! It's great, it's full of tone and a great addition to my casino and 52 tele. Right off the bat there are a lot of tonal options which I'm very excited to put through their paces!

i just got a classic player jaguar the other day. they're great guitars for sure.

YOU MOTHER{censored}ER... I wasted so much time yesterday trying to snag one of those.

hehe... I set the page as my homepage, and I actually had the "add to cart" button pop up two more times too (I'm online waaaaaaay too much)... didn't want to be a dick though... I can't wait till it comes...

*wow, that's the first I've seen an ebay auction go down in price... just checked the last teaspoon, and it actually went down by two bids, down to $157...

A mate of mine had a Princeton 112 years ago back when I had the Ltd edition orange tolex Marshall VS100R, and I have to say his Fender outperformed my Marshall on cleans by a mile.

Good to hear. I basically only use cleans - all my dirt comes from pedals.

Tracking is showing delivery on Monday...I'm hoping it speeds up a little and shows up today.

I saw the "Add to Cart" thing once, but as soon as I hit it I was told I didn't have anything in my cart. I'm watching the auction but I don't have my hopes up for that one.
