Members K-Bizzle Posted July 13, 2009 Members Share Posted July 13, 2009 At about 7:40PM I noticed her breathing got very shallow so I ran and got everyone. We all gather around and about 5 minutes later she took her last breath and I think a weird combination of sadness and relief washed over everyone. I know the feeling, pretty much exact same scenario with my grandmother when I was in HS. I really wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Yeah, it really is. Last week she was up and cheerful and, besides being a little tired, he usual self. The next time I saw her was when I stopped by to pickup to my Dad to get his kidney stones taken care of and she was really out of it. Yeah, it's not an easy thing to sit through. This is my first time with something like this. My Granda died right after I got out of high school but I wasn't there for it and I wasn't involved in any of the planning for services. I actually started getting light headed when I was sitting with her because I'd hold my breath every time her breathing changed.
