Members chad_sux
I am good up until about beer 4. After that, it's a crap(s) shoot. Really, the only difference in my playing sober and a little buzzed is that I don't give a {censored} when I make a mistake after beer 3. Sober, I still make the same mistake...I just care more. Members imgooley
I sing better when I;m drunk. But I play blues.
Members Neilrocks25
I think a few of my drunk drum jams show that I should not pick up a guitar, when I am drinking
Members benjamin801
I usually play live with two or three drinks in me. No problem. I've been known to get rather {censored}faced at practice, and the results are hilarious and not terribly musical.
Members Cibyl
I'm an average player at my best -- add a good amount of alcohol and my averageness drops exponentially.
Members Cibyl
I sing better when I;m drunk. But I play blues. Not me. Alcohol pummels my voice -- a couple of drinks, I'm fine. When I get to the 3+ mark my range shortens big time.
Members Dolf
It's just the dehydration.
Members shredhead7
I can't play if I'm impaired at all. It's something that you need to practice at, and when I'm practicing I practice sober. It's not that I wouldn't mind being able to, it might cut some of the stage anxiety down a bit.
Members musicmanmu
I played on my birthday a few years ago and got completely hammered. I don't remember the last set. We did songs I've never practiced before, and the next day the guys told me I hit pretty much every note. Muscle memory perhaps? As soon as I put my guitar down, I apparently fell right over and off the stage.
Members RaceU4her
a shot, a beer and a joint used to be my pre show ritual about every half hour before a gig.
Members Elemenope
I feel like I play {censored}ty. But other people tell me that they don't notice a difference.

Members peavey_impact
I can handle myself pretty well, but I usually prefer not to be drunk off my ass when gigging. I prefer other substances
Members Phrophus
I can handle myself pretty well, but I usually prefer not to be drunk off my ass when gigging. I prefer other substances Yeah, you can. I have definitely seen you play better than you can stand or walk or talk. It's impressive. I don't remember the last time I played completely sober, so I really don't have much to compare. I know that there is a point where I can't play for {censored}, but it's a pretty high threshold. Members drewl
The key is to rehearse in the state you find yourself in. I can play in a coma.
Members ke2
It's just the dehydration. Yep, dehydration is a bitch. Especially if you've been playing and drinking several days in a row. Gotta stay hydrated, and then the voice is pretty fine. I have decent technique, so I rarely lose my voice, unless I'm sick in some way. I once killed most of a 0.7 of Smirnoff. Then I (tried) playing in a Metallica tribute act. Downstrokes on MOP..? Forget it
Members thefyn
If I get RUINED and try and record something fast, I can't keep up. Last time it happened, I kinda patted myself on the back that I could play the {censored}ing thing in the first place.

Members Lucius
I play in a pantera cover band and we try to mimic everything they do so we are always {censored}ed on stage. We must sound pretty good. Cheers, Lucius
Members Fig0ta
Ive practiced and played shows drunk with no mistakes what so ever. It depends on the person honestly and it makes a huge difference if you're used to playing drunk all the time.
