Before my latest acquisition my collection looked like this:

(the bigsby tele was built by me so technically it's not a fender either, but let's not sweat the details:p)

I figured it was about time to branch out a little bit and try something that wasn't designed by Leo. After playing a few different Gibson 335's, a few Les Pauls, and Epiphone Dots and Sheratons, I gave this a try and couldn't walk out of the store without it:

This is my first NGD since I've been a part of the forums. Up until this point I've resisted GAS pretty good; this could be the beginning of the end of self control!

Edit: I should probably mention that this is a Casino.

There were a couple of completely unreasonable prejudices I've overcome with this guitar:

First was my avoidance of black guitars.

Second was this:

Having ever really given Epiphone a shot before (Gibson or nothing!), this thing has really surprised me. The feel is great, the sound is great, the look is great; more than I expected from a brand that I've always just associated with "inexpensive" (read: cheap) guitars.

Thirdly, these:

My first P-90's. While I still haven't figured out how to get the most out of them, I'm definitely happy with the sound so far!

bump.

beautiful guitar, man. was never as fond of the black as I was of the natural or the cherry, but that really does look great.

Thanks a lot, and I know what you mean. I would have preferred natural or cherry as well, but once I started playing it there was no turning back. The good news is that the black is growing on me!

That's sweet.

Here's I love my Rivs pups. set the amp gain to the edge of breakup.

Single note pretty runs stay clean unless you are digging in.

Then roll back the volume a teench and chords are full but not distorted. but lean on it and they GROWL!

HNGD!: wave: That's loverly!
