So far, the tally is, NO ONE that has reported in this thread as having seen it has said it wasn't worthwhile. If you haven't seen it, all you can do is talk about why you "think" it might suck. Isn't that pretty much what everything is like on this forum? Just replace the word "seen" with "played" or "heard" and it's this place in a nutshell.

Ummm...not to be a dick or anything but.....awww what the heck, I guess I'm a dick....why would you buy something with so distinctive a sound as a Tele and then decide you want to slap a HB in it? I don't think you're going to get the same sound with tapped HB as you would from the regular Tele bridge single. As I understand it, they wind those things to sound "that way". That in conjunction with the metal bridge plate and overall genius design of Leo is what creates the "twang".

Ya know, he looks healthy, he sounds good, and he looks like he's having fun. If you had asked me five or six years ago I woulda' said he'd be dead by now. Good for him. Yeah, I didn't dig everything in that solo. But parts of it I thought were amazing. Like I said, good for him.

I won't read through this whole thread but I assume somebody has said it already.... I think the whole idea of it is stupid.

I'd say if you have whatever pedals you use going into a nice tube pre-amp, then what comes out and into the PA should sound pretty good. Then it all depends on how well the sound guy mixes.

Cool guitar too. Interesting that Gretsch went with Semour Duncan for the Dynasonics instead of TV Jones. Also, I wasn't entirely clear about how the Billy Zoom Silver Jet is wired. Is the issued guitar done the way Billy likes 'em or is that just the ones they made for him specifically.
