  • shielding...foil or paint?

    I notice some makers seem to use the black paint that I guess has some shielding element to it...would you use it or shielding tape?...I like the paint idea better I think...

    I prefer paint. It's just a lot easier and, IMO, neater

        I like tape, it works better in my hands, looks cool, and I got a ton of the 3M stuff cheap

            I like tape, it works better in my hands, looks cool, and I got a ton of the 3M stuff cheap

              I use aluminum hvac tape from Home Depot. I only use copper when I have to solder to the tape.

                I use this. Enough to do a swimming pool route strat, 2 coats with enough left over to to a tele. Spray a bit of water from a squirt bottle before storage to keep the remaining stuff from drying out on you.

                          Tape for me. If you use tape, make sure the adhesive is conductive.

                            yah slug tape does not, to my knowledge, have the fancy conductive adhesive
