  1. I thought it was pretty {censored}ing cool. It probably freaked a few people out too. It looked very realistic on the clips I saw. If Dre wants to drop a couple hundred grand (apparently) to do it then more power to him. As for the people saying rap IS {censored} and has NO talent eat a dick up..... you ignorant mother {censored}ers. Don't you mean ignant?
  2. It's really not any worse than paying to see Britney Spears lip sync. I wouldn't pay to see a hologram, but if that's what people want to spend their money on, that's fine with me. I'm mostly in favor of things that separate people from their money. Capitalism!
  3. Tune down a half step with the 10s, go back to 9s, get a guitar with a shorter scale, or get used to the 10s. Those are pretty much your options.
  4. Sorry, I put that link for the 550 peso price range. They go up to like 220,000? I thought it was in dollars Even so, what's 220,000 pesos in US dollars? If the shipping isn't ridiculous, I may get one of the more expensive ones now that I'm thinking straight. 220,000 pesos is only $16,976 US. You should buy two in case one gets damaged in shipping.
  5. For me, that's the big downside of a Strat body with nice wood/paintjob. Most of it ends up getting covered with a pickguard. Rear routing is definitely the way to go for something like that.
  6. This happens to me all the time. I find that my perception of good tone changes depending on what I heard just before playing. I have a bunch of tones dialed into my M13, and if I play a classic rock tone, it sounds great. I then play a scooped metal tone, go back to the classic rock tone, and the classic rock tone sounds muffled. I keep playing the classic rock tone, and in a few minutes, it sounds great again. A given tone can sound great or terrible when I first fire up my rig. One's perception of tone is not a constant.
  7. Awesome! I love the stone on the bar. It's very appropriate for a man cave.
  8. Looks great so far! By the way, that purple board is called "Barney board" after the famous dinosaur.
  9. Anybody try one of these? http://www.guitarfetish.com/Aluminum-Flight-Case-style-Case-fits-Les-Paul-XV-500-XV-700_p_2199.html
  10. Man, it's like he went out of his way to make the ugliest headstock shape imaginable. Then he thought, "OK, but how can I make it even uglier? I know, I'll put my name on it eight times!"
  11. Super Strat with bridge humbucker, coil tap, and Floyd. Not my favorite guitar, but the most versatile.
  12. Also unacceptable: naming the guitar after a fictional character Uh oh. Only one of my guitars has a name, and that's my Strat, Natasha, named after Natasha Fatale.
