  1. But if you chose that model the knob being an obstruction is more of an issue. Even the chicken knobs suggest swells aren't a thing. Come to think of it, it's just the pickguard so why has nobody offered them preconfigured with the knobs someplace else?
  2. You can easily tell how they're set. I wish all Strats and clones would have a model with the knobs far away from the bridge.
  3. The laughs - well to a point. Full trash talkathons - waste of time. FTT could be the next big fight industry. Two entah, One STFU...
  4. Reviews are the reason I even know about HC. Sad...
  5. The drive lost it's novelty. 9, 10, 11, of 14 is good by me. Hope things pick up though.
  6. @gardo, Yeah srsly proficient? good at fishing? Good fishing? Over 1200 points to leave this one. Think I'm stuck here.
  7. Makes me wonder if he ever had plans to release his OD circuitry as a separate unit. Probably beneath his dignity. From what I can tell there are 2, and maybe 3 distinct (or maybe they just caught my ear) Dumble tones. The Std Robben Ford impossible dynamics OD, The Steel String Singer tone - gorgeous, sustainy, bright, cleans, and, the Rock crunch reference standard tone. This one is closer to high gain than the rest but not quite. Trainwreck ish sorta. All the pedals seem to favor some degree of the Robben Ford tone and that's fine by me.
  8. We musta been uploaded and air gapped before they took off.
  9. Hopefully not off the edge. eek The other last time this happened, I contacted Sweetwater and I got a couple responses denying they have anything to do with HC. Pointing out their Banner topped the forum site yielded no change in response.
  10. This is funnier. I joined Mark Wein's forum to inquire about it. I'm now Drummist over there. Maybe I'll take up guitar...
  11. Lol I also. This got a laugh because the roll eyes/ freak thing causes constipation in the ratings.
  12. Also if nobody is running this place, who's running this place?
  13. This time the notice was from Invision and had the tone of GFY. Be that as it may, here it are again and the HC bookmark favicon is a cool Invision logo.
  14. I think you can highlight the text area of the quote and backspace it out of existence.
  15. I don't know if it's a rule but clean, even sparkly clean, or vice versa, will let you hear the range of the pedal (I prefer this use of pedals - it's an ear saver besides) and just driving the amp will sound like the amp with foreign EQ. There's a Youtube on "the only" overdrive A. Dumble recommended for his amp. I forgot what it was. It didn't sound very special to me.
  16. Ooh another Dumble trivia thread. I read Dumble made 'em all to complement the guy who ordered it (I think I said this already.) so they could be any kind of Fender, Marshall, Trainwreck. To me it's the impossible dynamics of the OD section that's unique.
  17. They seem to be all sold. The SG and Tele demos were all crunch chording and don't reveal a lot to me. Berg did the Tele demo. He used to post here. You could probably reach him and get his opinion directly.
  18. Wanna pivot off this to say guitarers don't have or don't exercise enough real time timbral control. Not at all like a string section.
