Members Doctor Morbius
Is this a "start from scratch" concept or is it an "in addition to" type deal? Fender DRRIFender Classic '60s Player Strat in Sonic BlueFender Baja Tele That's about half of 5 large. I'll reserve the other half until I find out the conditions of the shopping spree. Members thrashmetl
When I start thinking about that I can't stop, gear shows up, and I don't know where the hell all my money went. Stop doing this to me.

Members samuraiBSD
college tuition...that counts as gear, right? No, ok...um...Probably an SG Faded Special with some custom work on the fretboard, then a Les Paul Classic Antique, or if I can bend it that way, a Silverburst Custom used, then a Marshall head (not too high end, just good enough to get away with at a large gig) and an orange 4x12 cab. I think I'd be done for a while...save whatever's left

Why would you buy those guitars to play through that amp? Or that amp to play with those guitars? Doesn't really match.

Fender DRRI Fender Classic '60s Player Strat in Sonic Blue Fender Baja Tele That's about half of 5 large. I'll reserve the other half until I find out the conditions of the shopping spree. Members Lesser Paul
First and foremost a Gibson EDS-1275 (my dream guitar). I would take about $850-900 and buy a rad Marshall amp to go with it. With what ever was left, I'd just throw into my bank account.
Members Carbohydrates
If we're talking new, probably a Gretsch White Falcon, a G&L Legacy, and a Mesa/Boogie 212 of some sort. (edit: this combo works either for "start from scratch" or "in addition to!") If used, I'd probably try to pick off a 50's Gibby Special.

Fender '65 DRRI .. $950Fender Classic '60s Player Strat in Sonic Blue .. $800Fender Baja Tele .. $500Fender '62 Jazzmaster in Ocean Turquoise w/mint PG .. $1450Fender '59 Bassman Reissue (used at my local GC) .. $850BG-Pups V60 Strat pups for a projects .. $150 That leaves me with $300 for extra gadgets like pots, pickguards, paint from reranch, and misc. parts for projects. I'd love to get a nice shiny new Strat in Ice Blue Metallic too but then I'd have to give up the Jazzmaster. I have an MIM that is Ice Blue Metallic and it's an absolutely beautiful color. EDIT: As one can see, I'm pretty much a Fender guy.
