  4. I like both. I also like both chrome and gold hardware. I also like both covered and un-covered pickups. Oh boy, I wanna list some opinions: - Plain > flame > spalt > quilt - Nickel > chrome > gold - Covered > zebra > double black > double cream
  5. Depends on the specific guitar, but in general, I prefer plain over flame. I can't stand uniform flame - no offense to the (previous) owner, but this one posted in this thread is the worst to me: But some of the wilder flame posted here is gorgeous! It also depends on the finish - flame with cherry sunburst doesn't do much for me because it's SO overdone, but flame on rootbeer, wine red, natural, amber, and others can look amazing.   6. Awesome guitar, man. But, juuuuust for future reference: the guitar is very chilly so I don't want to warm it up too fast by playing it. I just opened up the case real quick to take some quick photos...... then closed it again. As long as you opened the case, you might as well dive right in, because any damage that would have been caused by temperature would have ocured at the moment you opened the case.
  7. The early Les Paul Classic was a more vintage-accurate guitar, the closest thing to a replica available in the early 90's, I believe. It's the precursor to the Historic series, which are made by a division of the Custom Shop, so there's a tenuous link there. In its later years, the Classic was changed to be more like a modified Standard, which is why the early ones are much more sought after.

If he says "cash only" tell him you have the proper ATM deposit if hell take that. Then whip out a rubber footlongdoubledong and hit him in the mouth as hard as you can. Hopefully you break his teeth. While stunned, hit him three or four times to the now protected face until you see blood streaming out of his nostrils. Wrap the dong around his neck and choke him until he falls to the ground. {censored} him hard in the ass with the dong and as he comes to from the rectum shredding agony, shriek at the top of your lungs, "ONE ATM DEPOSIT, COMING UP!" then take the buggering end of the double dong and shove it in his bloody mouth as he chokes on it.   10. well why wouldnt they be allowed in that as well? It's not really a matter of being 'allowed' in that sort of judgment, I just mean that it's hard to hold all types of music to one standard like that. For electronica and similar music, a lot of what makes it appealing is the delivery, the samples, the synths... stuff beyond just melodies and chords. It just seems like a strange standard to hold music to.

Either confirm it's fake and state exactly why with evidence or shut the {censored} up. - The case, if real, is the type issued with non-Custom production Gibsons, and not appropriate for the guitar. - The headstock is misshapen - too much room between the tuners and open book. - Tuners are too close to the edge of the headstock. - The sticker on the back has no business being there. - It appears to have a rosewood fretboard. No Gibson Les Paul Custom, artist series or not, has a rosewood board. - The cavity plate is symmetrical - it's asymmetrical on authentic Gibsons. - The knobs are placed incorrectly. The volume and tone knobs for each pickup should be parallel with the neck/strings, but they're askew. Also, there's more room between the bridge controls than the neck ones, when it should be the same distance for both. Happy now, prick?
  13. The Bends is damn good, but OK Computer is one of those rare "perfect" albums. I personally dig In Rainbows a bit more than The Bends as well, but they're hard to compare directly because they're so different.

  18. Well damn, you sure can't go wrong with either, but I'm an AC30 guy all the way. I like it for effects better, but if you're just playing straight in, the Twin is incredibly beautiful. Not that the Vox isn't - I run mine with no effects all the time. Like I said, they're both great choices, and like others have said, they're both LOUD and HEAVY bastards. My AC30 is an older circuit with no master volume, and I like to REALLY drive it naturally, so it's usually played turned to 7 or 8, which is seriously ungodly loud.

If my name was on a guitar, I'd like it to be a little different-looking from whats already out there.......maybe something that reminded people of an unholy union between an old GE toaster and a Plymouth Belvedere....and I'd want them to cover several marketing levels, one being a line of mid-high end American built models and another a less expensive import line....so I could afford a few myself. You seem to have a lot of ideas, so why don't you do somethin' about it, huh?

  22. DeArmond M75, an import line of Guild. It was a black, Les Paul-ish body with a trapeze tailpiece and double humbuckers. Good guitar, not great. I enjoyed it! Looked totally killer, too.
  23. Great amps. My buddy has one and they are just perfect for bedroom practice and such. He actually used his to play a show, too. Ran it with a 4x12 with 4 16 ohm Celestion Vintage 30s and it sounded great. Didn't know a 5W head could power that so well.
