Members Eddie
man, I can never find good deals on amazon. I just checked the gibson LP studio that everyone else has for 799.00. Amazon's price is 949.00. I don't think I've ever found a good deal on amazon for musical instruments. They had a $2000 USA Custom Shop Washburn for about $1000, plus that one had a $100 rebate. I wish I had the money back then. Now it's back at $2000. There was also a discounted Music Man Axis (Super Sport?). They do have some good -and some great- deals, but their prices can vary on a daily or even hourly basis.

Yeah, I've seen some of their good deals posted here but I can never seem to find them on my own and most of the time anything I'm specifically looking for is the same price or higher than anywhere else. Members StratoSlacker
I think last month, someone posted a 20% off deal at a site that sold orange amps. Anything like that going on this month? I just scored a gig and need a 30-50 watt amp...I was thinking about splurging on an Orange.

Members KwadGuy
ToysRUs has the FirstAct Video Game Go! Amplifier (GX203) for $5 (free shipping if you purchase over $49...). http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3325831 Though this one is packaged and sold for use with game systems, it's basically identical (except for color) to the MA203, sold for guitars as the Pocket Amp (see here: http://shop.firstact.com/PublicStore/product/MA203-Pocket-Amp,555,94.aspx ) It's $28 at First Act. These won't make you think you're using a real amp (they sound a bit like a scratchy squonky mess in distortion mode, for example), but for something you can slip in a (big) pocket, or in your gig bag so that you can make audible sounds with your electric guitar, they're fine. They do sound as good as competitive pocket amp type products from Marshall and others. I think this would make a great stocking stuffer for a kid who has (or is getting) an electric guitar. Members cbh5150
For you Danelectro Cool Cat fans:Appears that this line may be discontinued soon (although there appears to be a version 2 on the horizon ); I stopped in a local Sam Ash store that had the following:Vibe $39.99 (normally $59.99)Chorus $39.99 (normally $49.99)Metal Distortion $19.99 (normally $29.99)The regular prices are still showing online, so if you don't have a B&M location nearby, I would imagine that the price will be dropping there, too, in the not-too-distant future.YMMV.
