Members Fireproof
Cool. Great feedback. I use 10s and need to buy more strings so it made me curious about others.
Members guitarman3001
9s on everything. LPs, strat, tele, etc... At one point about 15 years ago I even used 8s for a while but eventually ended up settling on 9s.
Members BeanoBoy
10's, but I've been thinking about going back to 9's. I've gone down from .010s to .095s on my Les Paul and to .009s on my Fenders.
Members Saturn
Well I don't currently have a LP but have had a couple over the years and have a SG that gets quite a bit of playing time. I use 10s on all of my guitars Strats, Teles and SG. Over the years I have used 9s on occasion but have always had 10s on my LPs and now on my SG. Members NinjaModder
I use 9s on everything! But I think I may have 10s on my LP copy. I have yet to restring it since I got it.
Members Scott Abene
I use these: I honestly think that I should step up to 11's on my Les Pauls because the 10's feel a little floppy

Members m90guy
I always used 10's in the past, but switched to 11's about 6 months ago. Feels and sound great!

Members mosiddiqi
10's. I did try 9-46 as that's my favourite gauge for Strats and was curious to see how they worked out on the LP..but didn't like them at all on there.
Members DaveGrima
I use 10-46 on all my guitars. Ive tried lighter strings, heaviers strings wth all sorts of tunings and setups and I always go back to 10s. Theyre just perfect.

Members Reignman
D'Addario XL110's user here. This... However, I do have a LP wound with 9's for the "End of the night, fingers aren't cooperating" time periods where the less tension aids in leetness. Members cratz2
10s on strats, 11s on LPs. I have 12s on my two Ibanez AX guitars which are like LP DCs. I mostly only play rhythm on those though. I'm not nearly as proficient at bending on 12s as 11s. I've never bought into the notion of heavier strings sounding radically better than thinner strings, I've just always used 10s on strats so going from 10s on a strat to 10s on an LP, the LP feels kinda floppy. Members BlueSky1963
Don't have an LP, but I wouldn't run anything less than 10's.
Members BlueSky1963
I was watchin Stevie Ray the other day and he appeared to have replaced his strings with steel cables.....to fantastic effect. Rumor has it they were GHS Nickel Rockers 13's, and he tuned a half step down.
Members katillac
10's (Ernie Ball Skinny Top/Heavy Bottom) Same here. I like my strings the way I like my women.

Members BIGD
10's, but I've been thinking about going back to 9's. I did too until I broke the D in less than a week of playing. Maybe I'll just start using A strings for the D since that always be the first one that breaks.

Members 23miles
I use Gibson Les Paul Signature Strings. They are pure nickel wound in a 9 - 46 gauge. Although other pure nickel strings like SIT Power Groove and GHS Santana Big Cores in a similar gauge also sound terrific to me.
