  1. Therefore, I can't see the relevance of where it was made? Only relevance to where its made is when some body is comparing Japanese made products to American made, like to OP is trying to so in this thread.
  2. Bollocks, they are made in Japan. The cheaper end ESPs, like Grassroots, are made in China. Sorry dude, but your wrong. Go ahead and tell yourself they are Japanese guitars, but you'll just be lying to yourself. The Japanese are very proud of products made in Japan, and always have the "Made in Japan" stamped or stickered somewhere on the guitar. My Yokoyama Ken Signature Edwards came with plastic and stickers all over it. None of it said "Made in Japan" anywhere. The small stack of papers and the brochures that came with it were also devoid of the "Made in Japan" anywhere on it. Pretty weird that not one single Edwards comes stamped with a MIJ sticker anywhere on it dont you think? Anyway like I said the guitars are Chinese, then shipped back to Japan for finishing and final setup. The hardware used is top notch stuff, and the guitars are the same for the most part as the higher end LTD stuff.
  3. I've lived in Japan, and I have played alot of guitars in Japan. I have played alot of Edwards, hell I even own an Edwards. My personal findings. If your in Japan and you buy a product that does not have "made in Japan" on it, then guess what? It isnt made in Japan. Edwards are not made in Japan. They are made in China. Its a fact that alot of Edwards fanboys here dont want to admit. Next would be that most of the Edwards I have seen held, played, including my own were good deals 5 years ago, but now with the price increase and the dollar getting its ass kicked now, they are no longer a deal. At $1000 they suffer the same QC problems that many LTD's suffer from.
  4. People also seem to forget that Chuck Berry served three jail terms (armed robbery, transporting a minor across state lines, and tax evasion). I love Chuck Berry as much as the next guy, but he's no saint. Chuck Berry also got busted a few years ago with video cameras in the bathrooms of some of his local restaurants here in STL. Sicko was videotaping women spraying diarrhea all over the place after eating his {censored}ty food. The dude is the godfather of rock n roll. but he is also a grade A sack of {censored}.
  5. Oh Man, wow! Hot {censored}! Congrats. That guitar is a beaut
  6. My first reaction is... I wonder how many people in his congregation are having a rough go given the tough economic times, yet they are still giving thier 10% tithe so that the preacher man can feed his glutony by purchasing "worldy" material things. Then I started thinking... I have alot of good gear currently, and the oppurtunity may arise that I become brainwashed by the Word, and then may even devote myself to preaching the Word. My owning of the gear before this would have nothing to do with glutony or greed. So then I came to the conclusion. I know nothing about the guy, so I say only that he has good taste in gear???
  7. I actually did the butter thing back in post number 8. Somone else already did the a-maize-ing thing too. Shucks!
  8. Thing kinda gives me GAS. Well ok, its ethenol but still...
  9. Oddly I never thought about it until now. Picked up my guitar after reading this thread and noodled a bit. Apparently I anchor my pinky on the pickguard by the bridge pickup on arpeggio's, and then I achor both my pinky finger and my ring finger on the high e string when playing leads. exept of course when playing on the high e or b I move my fingers off their anchor. Weird. Im guessing bad habits from never being formally tought on guitar???
  10. I honestly dont think I have ever read more {censored}ing fail from one person on the internets, more then I have here, in this thread, courtesy of Mr Goodbomb. Serious {censored}ing fail.
  11. So old guy walks in and ask how much is this guitar worth? Little d-bag lies to him, but its the old guys fault? Maybe the guy is naive or maybe he is just plain dumb, but its still the little {censored}bag of {censored} that was dishonest and lied to him. No differance from that to the little old 80 year old lady that gets tricked out of giving her bank information out over the phone or gets cought up in other scams that most of us know better then to deal with.
  12. I never get sick of seeing Page Hamilton sig model. Yea, I agree. Friggen hot! Like the ESP's he was using during Helmets hayday a little better though. I have a Ken Yokoyama siggy guitar. Love the player, and love the guitar.
  13. I love these. so is the 20 watts enough to keep up with a loud drummer? oh and reverse spam: looking for a little 59 (tele bridge) or hot rails tele bridge. Dirty its plenty loud enough. Also when the tube mix knob is at 12, the amp runs at 30w. Through a 4x12 you'll have no problems. Nice amp IMO
  14. Hmm... I have given some of my guitars nicknames... Burgundy Mist Strat = Misty My Am deluxe strat = Mia Ibanez Jetking = Jetty My Nashville tele = Nash Not really creative, but whatever...
