1. We all know for a fact that a pin prick can = being beaten like a camel
2. Eew. Are you a 13 year old girl? haha just kidding, do it!
3. kind of boring IMO... Im not the person that needs the music to be difficult. But for me, it has to have FEELING. Take the dead weather for example. I Like them because they have so much soul in their music. And they play really simple but heart felt soungs.
4. Other than GC stuff, you could probably get a Fender Bassman or used head or combo fo around your budget.
5. I would advise against the Vox VT series. I would strongly advise the HT-5 or the Egnater.
6. Sell it and snag a deal on an SG. This is what "I" would do. Then again, I never was an explorer kind of guy. play on!
7. If it's sold you may want to get rid of your Craigs ad that you reposted yesterday......I'm sure your friend will be happy. http://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/msg/1393791350.html 1966 Gibson SG Special (Professional headstock repair) - $1400 (Lakewood) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: 2009-09-26, 12:25PM PDT This is a 1966 Gibson SG Special with a professional headstock repair. Plays and sounds "out of this wold". Everything is original except for: vintage '70's Gibson P-90's, brass nut, 70's Grover tuners, and some of the screws. This is a great deal for its condition. I am selling this because tough times have struck my friend very hard and he needs financial help. I will accept $1400 cash and take consideration on partial trades for a Fender Stratocaster. This guitar was professionally repaired and it looks great. Take advantage of this sweet deal! AND IT'S SOLD! THANKS FOLKS! $1200 cash from Craigslist
8. Your attitude brings it out in people man. There are actually some really good people on these boards. Sorry. It's people like you that have nothing better to do that bitch about other people and their grammar and picture taking ability.
9. I bet this sale falls through and it goes back up for sale...place your bets gentlemen Wanna bet? Man, there are a lot of dick on this forum.
10. why do you mention it if "it doesnt even matter". Changing stories leads me to not believe a thing you say. If i were in the market for a guitar of this style i would definately turn to my other options just because of this. but to each their own and good luck man i know youve been semi struggling to sell it probably half becauase its a horrible time to sell second hand guitars of that value. it seems like all high end used prices have been slashed recently. btw sg's of this era are kickass i have a vintage sg with a vibrola (circa 69 or so) its a great guitar and of course i would never sell it but no hard feelings bro (except for the guitar ) free bump for you. Yeah man, I don't WANT to sell it, but times are tough man, tough for everyone.
11. I have also posted a recent one stating that it is to raise money for my friend. We are both broke and that is why I am open to almost anything. I need this to be gone for a good price so that we can get temporarily out of this hole. Say something useful next time.
12. this thread has become very lulz worthy. first you have NO intention of selling it because of sentimental value but jsut want to know how much its worth (lol ok man). Then your friend is in financial trouble and want to help him out. Then on craigslist your the one needing help. hahaha. quite a misfortune and quick change of heart you have on your hands. good luck selling. I'm not going to post the exact same thing OVER AND OVER the exact same. I have posted this over and over in many places and I am sick of it. This IS for my friend. Even if it was for me just to sell, it doesn't even matter. Thanks for stopping by!
13. haha i would, if i were in the market for this... i was trying to give a little selling advice, not that you need it Oh ok. Haha. I have been getting a lot of offers. 1600$ OBO! Shoot me an offer, I'm a pretty flexible guy! Thanks for looking!
14. all skepticism aside... if you drop this to 1000$ I bet it'd be gone in an instant.... just look to sweeten the deal if you want the full 1600$. Make me an offer! I am pretty flexible!
15. I'm reading through this thread (slow day at work) and I'm shaking my head.. I own and have owned many headstock-repaired Gibsons over the years. Most were bargains and most were excellent players. My favorite 175 is a head-repaired '56. So here we have what by all accounts looks like a well-repaired vintage axe with mostly original parts, at exactly the right price: about 1/2 of retail, and the sellers' getting a really hard time. That over-spray dark-out is Very Very typical of repairs done, many of mine look exactly like that. That was the fashion years ago: lots of coats of overspray that naturally darken and hide the repair. Not fishy, just the common way things were repaired. I actually have a '67 SG special with head repair that's much more visible that this that I've been offered 1700 for.. (keeping it for now...great players). Bottom line: Nice guitar at a very fair price. Don't like it? Ok, but why give the guy such a hard time? It is what it is..probably a really good player. My credentials? About 1,000 good guitar deals over the past 20 years ... Thank you SOOO much! Finally someone who understands! Thank you for doijg that man, seriously. I have been getting eaten alive for no reason. Thanks again. This thing has been getting a LOT of interest! Nothing solid yet, still available!
