The Musicians Gear cases are good for the money - they start @ $39 (was $49 not to long ago) I just got two and added a few items to get over $99 and got MF to price match GC's $20 off $99 coupon.

You mean this? http://www.musiciansfriend.com/accessories/musicians-gear-deluxe-electric-guitar-case

Did you received it already? How's the quality (looking at the black one)? What are the internal and external dimensions? (I'm always surprised stores don't bother posting full specs.)

Not sure if Charvel ones were made, but I specifically remember Jackson ones called "The Bloodline".

I got a couple of Jackson ones a couple of years ago that were before the Bloodline series came out. Just straight "Jackson" stools. I don't think I got them for $19.99, though. I think I paid $30.00 each.

And a cheapass Tele body for a project:
Golden Gate S-309 T Style Guitar Body for $45.22.

Stay far away from the Golden Gate bodies. I picked up a sb Tele recently and sent it back the same day. Excessive roundover on the body and tummy cut weren't deal breakers but the 1 1/2 inch body almost was. The routes for the neck and pickups were poorly done and crooked. Back it went.

Thanks for the info. I deleted it from my post.

I just ordered me one. they had a wine red one for a while which I was not crazy about the color, This blue I really do like though!

btw ~ $196.51 at Amazon and $249 at Newegg at this time. (the Newegg one says Floyd Rose in the title and details listed, but their picture has the tune-omatic, not the Floyd Rose bridge. ? who knows what you would get with that one from Newegg. I prefer the hard-tail with it anyways so win win on this deal from HELLOMUSIC for me)

my mistake then, you always come across as the anti-gear whore. I don't recall seeing you in this thread in at least 3 years, but maybe I missed it.

Rogue lap steel with stand and gig bag

Fusion: no, but it's not a regular hangout. That Yamaha was tempting even to me, the non spender.

It seems out of character, but remember, I'm a hoarder in recovery. I can get sucked into shopping, too.

I think I'm in this thread a few pages back, actually. I saw a bunch of dean and Luna stuff being blown out by amazon and reported it, but had no links and think the post was missed by all.

I have a set of these. They are made with alnico 3 magnets instead of alnico 2. I think that's why they are scratch and dent. There was nothing else wrong with the pickups. They sound great.

Gibson offers the 57s in Alnico 2 and Alnico 3 versions.

Vintage Set with Alnico 2s: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/accessories/gibson-vintage-matched-pickup-set--scratch-and-dent/h74652000001000

Vintage Hot Set comes with Alnico 3s: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/accessories/gibson-hot-vintage-matched-pickup-set--scratch-and-dent/h74650000001000

Not sure what is 'scratch-n-dent' about them, but it isn't the Alnico 3s.
