Members alfsboy
Hey, does anyone have suggestions on some good replacement pickups for my Epi Sheraton? My default choice would be 57 Classics, but not sure I'm ready to spend $200 to upgrade this thing. Tonerider Rocksongs ,nickel covered or plain ,or any Tonerider humbucker or P90 .Dont be fooled by the low price they really are very good .They are not a generic rename of Artec .GFS etc.

Members Steadfastly
looks like one almost goes over the edge of the lower bout, almost. The picture is a little more misleading than when you see it in person.

Members GreaserMatt
1964 Guild T-100. Kinda dusty & crusty right now, but has a perfectly straight neck, great action, minimal fret wear, original pickup, grover tuners. Needs a new nut, a fresh set of strings & a little TLC in a few areas. Very cool!!!!
Members GreaserMatt
Not many Americans will be familiar with this one because it was a brand name marketed in Canada only as far as I know. It is a Matsumoku made Vantage VSH-445. Tiny little neck and extremely well made (stock brass nut). Nice condition for a 1981: I used to own a Vantage bass w/ that same headstock... great bass... Members Elias Graves
I haven't seen that Washburn, but their new-ish anniversary parlor guitar is amazing. That pickup looks like a Bartolini. If so, they used some top shelf parts. EG
Members Elias Graves
Never noticed before. Is that a fixed height bridge on yours?Do you think it makes much difference in sound? EG It is fixed.I do think it does make a difference, based on the physics of sound conduction that are involved.Benedetto said, in his build book, that, basically the only reason he puts adjustable bridges on his stuff, is most of the players request it for convenience.A couple of his models that are, I believe, acoustic only, are built with fixed bridges. Members Buttcrust
I also had a little fret work done (the fret ends were starting to lift on a couple of the frets) as well as have the jack plate tightened up (the screws were loose in the screw holes). Now everything is great, no "crackle" from a shaky jack plug, no fret buzz or strings getting caught under lifted frets. Has anyone else got any new or reworked hollow guitars lately ? Musicians Friend sent me an E-mail Friday saying the Regal Duolian had shipped, and while I was at "The Guitar Doctor", I dropped off the Casino with the broken off headstock and picked this guitar up. So, I'm still waiting on two guitars. This old guitar plays extremely well now with a very nice set up.

Members Alecto
Gretsch Country Club with Dynasonics. We tried this baby out through a Trademark amp. Both very impressive. EG Always had a fondness for Gretsch guitars, but could never hang with the neck or the short scale. Perhaps a semi-hollow Cabronita clone in my future? How to explain that one to the wife? I really like the Tech 21 Trademark series as a concept: I've never played through one but I really like their Sansamp and Bass Driver DI and a friend swears by her XXL distortion pedal. If I didn't already have enough amps, I might be tempted.
Members Alecto
I figured I'd celebrate Page 40 with the Ultimate Hollow Guitar . . . Ladies and gentlemen, I give to you the legendary, one-of-a-kind D'Angelico Teardrop. A more modern interpretation by Monteleone: And D'Angelico's former apprentice D'Aquisto: In my not-so-humble opinion, it doesn't get any better than this.
