The ONE....

....album you couldn't live without.....and the key word here is ONE, 1, uno, un, single, alone......and why?

For me it's Atom Heart Mother, because it has everything I ever want in music, and even in a lysergic free world it can transport me to places that don't exist geographically

Whoever thought a cow's arse could encase such beauty

no question, GNR's AFD. To this day, hardly a day goes past that I don't listen to at least one song from it, even after over 25 years. They shaped my listening choices during my formative early teen years, and I love every song on it.

Can't do it. I can't think of ONE single album above all the rest today at all. If I did, it wouldn't hold water tomorrow (if the feeling even lasted that long). Besides loving so much stuff and wanting access to all of it, I know I would get to hating that album if it was the only thing I had to listen to.

Thank goodness this is only and silly HC thread hypothetical.:thu:

Hendrix's Axis Bold as Love was my first seminal album and it's held up well over 40 years for me.

If there can be a second, it would be Santana's Abraxas. Much otherwordly transportation in both of those.

But there have been so many that I still listen to with a sense of awe. Here's a couple

Genya Revan and Ten Wheel Drive - Brief Replies

The Flock - Dinasaur Swamps

The Band - The Band
